Two types of people Owen can't stand: bullies & hypocrites

Though he does not understand them, Owen has angelic powers he inherited from his father. When not controlled properly, they can lead to him going into a "self-defense" mode that causes him to lose control of his emotions and abilities.

Owen is very introverted. He prefers to not interact with those he has no need to or does not already know. He acts respectfully when around others, but keeps a low profile and attempts to attract as little attention as possible. He has a tendency to talk quietly when nervous.

Owen wants to find his place in life. Ever since he was young, he was told he was a freak. With his powers and wings, he could never fit in. He was given up by his family after birth and left at an orphanage. There, all of the other kids were either scared of him or bullied him. When he was 8, the owner of the orphanage discovered a boarding school for kids like him, however, even there he was bullied. He became friends with Carter and Dawn, only to have them leave the school at 15 and not stay in contact. Not finding anyone else to bond with, he graduated from the school and headed for college. In college, he finally met a girl named Allison, who he made a real connection with. Now he wants to live a happy life with her.

Owen is very secluded. He does not open up even to those close to him. He pushes people away out of fear of attachment. He also does not have a great emotional control over his abilities. Once he loses control, it is very difficult to bring himself back from the edge.
