He's a loving and caring boy, usually nice and polite, but can have exaggerate outbursts in anger. He usually tries to help those around him and will do anything to protect his younger sister, even if it means putting himself in danger. He's a brave, responsible and confident person, with a strong will and selfless enough to try and help others with personal, emotional problems, even if they do not concern him

He is a well educated and polite boy, with good manners - he has the basic education level of a 20 yr old human

Tanis is a young elf boy, the son of a simple eastern country elvish couple. His birth was a happy surprise for his parents, who both loved him dearly.
He grew up inspired by his father's stories from his time as a spy, which ignited his wish of becoming a good fighter, just like his father. Sadly for him, it appeared that he hadn't inherited any of his father's traits, but that did not stop him from wanting to achieve his dream.
Narion came into his life when he was just 3 years old; even though the child was meant to stay with them only for a short period of time, Tanis grew quite attached to the strange newborn, eventually begging his parents to keep it. Since the baby's parents could not be found, the young elf was overjoyed when his parents adopted the child, now named Narion. Ever since then, he grew even more attached to his new sibling, so much that they became inseparable.
Throughout his life, he stayed by Narion's side, being a responsible brother and taking care of her as best he could; whenever she got sick, Tanis would always stay with her, trying to cheer her up - given how attentive he was to Narion, he was entrusted with hef care and he received a special bracelet that was connected to his sister's munic collar, so that he could help her in case of another fever attack.
Even after they were kidnapped and taken away from their home, he did everything to make sure she is safe

While his deep connection with his adoptive sibling is easily explained away as simple child attachement, the real reason behind it all is that his soul once belonged to Akai, the Master Of Twilight.
Before she died, Akai made a promise to one day return and stand by her Morphidae friend's side once more, but for unknown reasons, her soul needed thousands of years to be reincarnated.
The strong attachement that exists between the two children could be atributed to Akai's soul honoring her promise of protecting her best friend - Narion being a descendant from the Morphidae's bloodline
