Isaac died as Alessa was turning thirteen and she has lived with her brother ever since. Her neighbors are looking out for her, but she seems strong. Losing her father was the first time she's felt so out of control.
Lilian died when Alessa was young from a suicide. She's been told all her life that she has her mother's eyes, but how would she know?
Since both of her parents died, she lives with Auntie Jane and her twin brother, Jackson.
