Tempest was born to parents of an elemental line, and knew and practiced her element since she was small. She was named Tempest, as she was born screaming, and her parents wanted to follow tradition of naming an elemental after their element. She had a little sister, Via, who called her Tem, and her parents would alternately call her Tem, Temp, and Tempy. Via, however, died of an illness at 5 years old. After that, Tempest was never the same, and became much quieter than she had been before. As she grew older, her fellow elementals became her best friends.Soon, they moved out of the elemental complex, to the towers. They voted Avani, the most level-headed of the group, as leader. When they were 15, a young girl of 13 turned up on her and Kindle's doorstep, introducing herself as Raven Archori. Raven said she needed their help. Tempest didn't really care, and left the decision to Avani. After a few weeks, Avani told the girl no, they wouldn't help her. The reason Av gave was simply it wasn't the elementals business, which Tempest wasn't sure of, but didn't really care. Raven left, with an ominous warning. Two years later, she returned, freezing them all in time. Tempest is the group's scribe, writing down everything they need her to.
