Six years at Hogwarts

May 7, 1978

Sophie has always been very close with her parents, her mother in particular. They were all delighted to learn about Sophie's magic, though Sophie's father seemed a little wary of the magic at first.
When Sophie becomes the first ever muggle-born to be sorted into Slytherin, she hopes that maybe everyone will be accepting. Unfortunately, the Slytherins won't accept a "mudblood" in their ranks and she is often the end of all teasing and torture in the dorms.
In second year, she meets Rosalie and is invited to join the gang. She fits right in with the group and even helps with some of the pranks. She confides in Liam, who she had a major crush on at the time, of her plans to humiliate the Slytherins. Liam was all for it until he learned of exactly how she wanted to do this.
Just before Christmas Break of third year, the group receives the news that Sophie's mother has lost her battle with cancer and passed away. Sophie leaves school immediately and doesn't return to school until February with several bruises. A good month goes by before Sophie confides that her father started to overdrink as a result of his wife's death. He is almost always drunk and beats Sophie.
As the years wear on, Sophie drifts further and further away from the gang's light-hearted, all in good fun mischief and her heart begins to darken. By fifth year, she has decided to break away from Hogwarts completely and join Voldemort, who has promised her revenge. When seventh year rolls around, Sophie isn't on the train.
In the summer following seventh year, Sophie finds her old friends and begs them to join her in order to save their lives. Of course, they won't do it and the last ties of friendship between the group and Sophie are severed with the knowledge of Death Eater Sophie Williams.
They all know deep down that eventually, they're going to have to face her and Sophie isn't going to win.
