Zafnir doesn't wear much clothing; it's just not something dragons do. He may occasionally get caught putting a cloak, cape, or collar around his neck for fun.
He has large, forward-curving horns like a bull. They've clearly been broken and have regrown many times, being jagged and unequal in length. His right horn is slightly shorter than his left horn.

He's losing whatever coat of fur he had. A few patches of rusty fur here and there, on his face, down his back, patches on his elbows and ankles, etc.

Has come to distrust most bipedal races, although he does well to set his prejudice aside for the sake of keeping the peace.
Other than the general effects of aging, he's healthy.
For his entire life, Zafnir has strived for peace. He breaks several stereotypes about the explosive, hair-thin temperments of dragons by being very calm and soft-hearted, easily moved to mercy and shows of affection. He rarely takes sides in conflict, preferring to play mediator to negotiate a compromise. However, when he does choose a side, he commits to it with all of the passionate zeal his bleeding heart holds. Having been alive for at least 125 years, he has developed keen wisdom and long-lasting patience.
Reading, talking, sleeping, flying. He gives up flying everywhere when he travels with Helynah, a human woman who is terrified of heights.

Zafnir was a draconic ambassador before his banishment.
History
Zafnir was born to nobility and trained to be an ambassador, assigned with negotiating trade contracts with Tray in order to help save an over-populated, starving country with a new supply of food. When the trade failed, a desperate and vengeful queen declared war on their neighboring human country. Zafnir was banished for protesting the war and spent some years a member of a rogue draconic clan. He left the clan as its members grew corrupt and found something of a home base in Mopo, a trade outpost between Tray and the southern countries, set through a mountain pass in the Arch of Opportunity. Because the people there are concerned not with war, but with trade as well as their own survival, he is safer there than he would be anywhere else. He still lives in Mopo when he meets Helynah while looking for something that Selina asked him to fetch for her.

Formally educated; knows how to read and write, fluent not only in his native tongue but also in Trayan and Arandarian. He also has basic knowledge of a handful of Chimeran languages.

No pets, although he gets along famously with Selina's therapy dog Cupid.

In short: A dragon of noble status, exiled for speaking against the Dracran-Trayan War. He now lives in Mopo, one of the few places politically unaffected by the fighting because it serves as a rest stop for travelers and holds no binding loyalty for any one country. One day, Zafnir is on a fetch quest in Arandar when he spots a bit of drama off the coast; there, he meets the fugitive Helynah. His choice to help her will cause his entire life to turn upside down for the second time.
