Aarakocre, Almost indistinguishable from large birds when flying but walking upright. Mona and Linda are of a variety that in both the shape of the wings, head and claws is very similar to prairie falcons.

Mona and Linda both have brown feathers around the eyes and brown feathers forming a lillie's silhouette on their foreheads. The two of them look so similar that the only identifying physical feature between the two is their subtle difference in height

they either wear simple cloth tunics of cotton and wool with leather shoulder and torso armour, or their sparkly silken costumes resembling robes with long flowing sleeves and skirts divided into flowing trains.

Mona and Linda are almost always together and try to avoid others as much as they can. Though they have been with the circus for more than a year it seems to be hard for them to connect with the other members and feel at ease.

Mona & Linda stay with the circus as a means of travelling around safely until they've found their nomadic tribe again.

Mona and Linda very rarely spend time apart or with other individuals in general. As such, they remain stuck in their habits and make very little process in both character and skill.

Humans are greedy beings that will use any means at their disposal to get what they want

The two of them are skilled in aerial combat.
Mona: good at sewing costumes
Linda: Very good at coordinating the circus' birds for the show

Both like to fly through the air with acrobatic acts
Mona: Especially likes embroidering the costumes
Linda: Secretly enjoys reading the biology books Rostal lends her.

Mona: the most untrusting of the two to a point that she's almost paranoid and very protective of Linda. When she's angry or simply disagrees she won't air her opinions except to her sister. this often results in her walking around the camp while scowling for days.
Linda: Her distrust of people borders more on extreme shyness. She's scared of talking to others but will always try to communicate her feelings nonverbally.

They were born into a nomadic tribe of Aarakocra on the elemental plane of air. Like any other of their tribe, they learned the basics of combats on both land and in the sky as well as many remedial tasks such as hunting, cooking, sewing, weaving and navigating by the light of the stars.
At the age of 14, their tribe encountered a small group of humans who said they had travelled to the plain in order to conduct research on a variety of subjects. The chief offered the humans shelter in the camp. Sadly, this group turned out to be a group of "magical beast" traffickers who's goal it was to capture and sell creatures native to the plain and they counted Aarakocra as one of those creatures.
Mona and Linda were kidnapped in the middle of the night and taken to the material plane to which the humans were native and where they were planned to be sold of during an exclusive auction for the rich.
Lucky for them the auction was interrupted by Rostal and Malin du Val who had come to retrieve a stolen dinosaur egg. In the process, the two circus artists created grand chaos and released any living creatures within the facility.
After figuring out Linda's and Mona's situation, it was concluded that it would be extremly difficult to find a way to send them back to their home plain and family. Rostal was unwillingly to leave the two girls to wander the to them unfamiliar world on their own and offered them a temporary position at the circus with permission of Malin and Naxaschirqal

Out of everyone at the circus the twins trust Rostal the most as he is the one who initially recruited them. They're terrified of Naxaschirqal and almost outright resent Malin du Val for the sole fact that she is human.
Malin is totally fine with that and relies on the information and care of the other circus members to look after Mona and Linda.
