Pretty normal childhood, minus being targeted by a poltergeist that befriended Miyuki. Pushed that event out of her mind, and looked forward to growing up. Had lots of friends, and became one of the preps in school. Went to parties towards the end of her high school career. On the way home from a party, one night, her crazy drunk friend, Peyton, kept trying to distract Asami and eventually they crashed. Peyton died, and Asami was impaled in the abdomen, losing her ability to have kids of her own (though she doesn't find out till way later)
Peyton's boyfriend blames Asami and began to hate her for his dead girlfriend. Asami became very depressed and preferred to be alone.
Other friends drag her to a club one night where she meets Kayden. He tries to dance with her but she runs away.
Kayden runs into her later on and they get to talking.
