Aile is patient and forgiving, frequently taking the extra step that others won't when it comes to things like chores. Despite the age gap, he tends to baby his older brother, Sian. He is nonviolent unless the situation cannot be diffused at all; if it is required of him, however, he is efficiently deadly with water.

He generally has a calming aura about him; his smiles are nothing extravagant but they're common. A smile directed at you can ease the thrum of a pounding heart.

He has small insecurities when it comes to his position in the world; though he buries them and never acts on them, they can resurface easily and this gives him a bit of an inferiority complex. He battles it by pushing himself socially - this leads him to becoming wrapped up in things that normally wouldn't involve him.

Finally, he has a very strong sixth sense that he believes firmly in. His intuition is normally sharp, and if something tells him someone isn't to be trusted, he generally believes that bit of himself.

Inflection is always soft and kind, very nonthreatening. Even if he's suspicious of someone, he will smile kindly and welcome them. Accent is vaguely Irish.

The second oldest in a family of six, Aile stuck out from his family like a sore thumb. While the rest of his family was completely Irish and looked the part, he was born to a Vietnamese mother. Not only that, but his family was one of fire mages - his mother was a water mage, and so was he.

While this made no difference to his family, this created a deep fear of not belonging when it came to being with his family. He always felt like the black sheep - but did his best to ignore it in favour of sharing the role of eldest brother with Sian Hayes, who was just over a year his senior.

On the day of the death of the family, they were met by a god named Akumbra. They lived on a cliff near the town of Stair; right on the sea.

The family stood at the cliffside as Akumbra picked Aile to kill first, simply for the sake of his own different appearance.

Regarding the panicked boy, Akumbra chucked him of the cliff - to the echo of Sian's screams, who had been held back by his father out of threat to his own liveliness.

The rest of Aile's family was later burned alive.

Waking up in limbo, Aile was granted the concept of 'family' soon after that, while Sian was granted the concept of 'protection' (in theory).

Some time after that, Aile met Tomo Memoriam at a party and became infatuated with him.
