Ambrose is said to have been the offspring of a native Albinean and the first settler from across the ocean, the reason for their unnaturally green hair and eyes. Well, that is the origin of their namesake, the current Ambrose is just another in the long line of court mages employed by the High Court to take the name.

In actuality, Ambrosios was once an Agarthan that fled the mainland continent of Fódlan when the conflict with the goddess Sothis was becoming disadvantageous. The group he escaped and coexisted with the indigenous Albineans before interbreeding with them. Years later, when the Agarthans launched their retaliation against the Nabateans, Manann fled the Massacre at Zanado and made his way to Albinea. Manann recognized Ambrosios as Agarthan. He killed Ambrosios and assumed his identity.

Over the years, Manann has changed their appearance many times through the use of an illusory body. They have spent time as either sex but never straying far from the characteristic green hair and eyes of the Nabateans.

They have a vested interest in the new young king of Mann.

Recent convert to the Church of Serios. Colleagues have noted that their much more participant in its rituals than when they was following the Scriptures of Akasha.

Ambrose is likely a Nabatean who managed to escape Nemesis’s purge by fleeing across the ocean to Albinea. The royal regalia of the more influential kingdoms were of his design; most notably the sister swords, Cortana/Curtana and Joyeuse .
