Created from Ginnungagap’s shadow, Formless Horrors are hypercarnivores and come in many forms and levels of hostility, from docile bears made almost entirely of eyes to man-eating hawks of concerningly large proportion. They are pitch black, capable of absorbing light. There is no maximum or minimum height that a horror can achieve, with the largest and most dangerous horrors being labeled as “giants.”

Most Formless Horrors have a "tell" to differentiate them from the animal they're attempting to copy (besides the colour). This could be extra eyes, tentacles, an incorrect material, etc.

While some are completely docile and wouldn't harm you if you were actively stabbing it, some are extremely dangerous and hunt for sport.

In the event that a Formless Horror decides to attack, it will revert back to its original form and attempt to swallow its victim whole. If successful, it will take the form of its victim.

Horrors that attack in self-defence typically take the defence mechanisms of their current form.

They're not particularly fast, relying on endurance to catch their prey.

In their original form, they're extremely strong and those already caught typically don't escape.

Despite their most noticeable trait being their ability to transform into other animals, they're quite bad at blending into their surroundings.

Completely unaltered, their call sounds like the bastardised wail of a child, man, and animal smashed together. They attempt to make their calls sound more like the animal they are portraying, but they can only do so much.

Their sight is impeccable, the strongest in all of the nine realms. Even those with a noticeable lack of eyes seem to be able to see as if they were made of them. It is impossible to sneak up on one from behind.

For some reason, Formless Horrors have a particularly bad sense of hearing. It's not like they can't hear, but many people mistake them as deaf because of it.

Horrors have pretty animalistic intelligence. However, they are fairly intelligent compared to non-human creatures.

Formless horrors can live almost anywhere but thrive in places where Ginnungagap's influence is most prominent.

Formless Horrors are Hyper Carnivores, only gaining sustenance from meat and animal byproducts such as eggs and some cheeses.

Not many things hunt Horrors for food, as they are not made out of any sort of edible material. The only true predators of these creatures are humans.

A horror will eat whatever it can, mostly feeding on any animals it is already imitating.

Formless horrors all derive from one place: Ginnungagap. they are somewhat of an offspring of it created through what can only be explained as mitosis.
