Powers
Fae is all-powerful, with the ability to create something out of nothing. They formed the world and the cosmos.
Only one being in existence can match Fae's power: Hex, the genderless god of chaos and spite.
Fae is bound to order and good. They are incapable of harming another being unless it is in defense of the common good.
Rituals
Followers often pray to Fae for safety, guidance, peace, and advice. Typical prayer posture includes holding one's hands out on either side of them, like a scale.
Similar to cutting a ribbon at an opening ceremony, the completion of important structures is symbolized by the opening of the windows. This allows the sunlight to enter which many believe banishes bad luck. Many homes throughout the Vale also contain a scale, typically mounted on a hearth.
Before Fae disappeared, they would appear in the Vale once every year. A large celebration would be held in the god's honor, a festival known as The Feast of the Sun. Beyond that day, Fae would communicate with the people of the Vale through the patrons. They could communicate directly with a human, but they only did so if it were dire.
History
Fae is the creator of the universe. They formed the Vale and it's inhabitants. However, Fae disappeared after their battle with Hex. No one has heard from them since, nor any of the patrons for that matter.
Fae has always existed in a way, their conciseness slowly forming over millions of years. They did, however, have children of their own. They created the four patrons of the seasons and gave them each a Domain to rule over. They had two sons, Ka'van and Ronan, and two daughters, Tohah and Avi.
Fae is the almighty creator of the universe. They've been here since the dawn of time and saw the formation of the universe. At first, the were merely a collection of consciousness. After millions of years, they learned to shape the space around them, and their power only grew from there. But they soon grew restless and lonely. They longed for company, for family. So, they created the four patrons, claiming them as their children. Fae loved each of their children dearly, so they created a place for them to claim: The Vale of Seasons. They divided the Vale into four distinct Domains, one for each of their children. They created landforms such as mountains and rivers for them to control, as well as beasts and humans for them to rule over. The patrons ruled their respective Domains with grace and wisdom, passing down their knowledge to the mortals. Fae was pleased with their creation and retired to the home they constructed for themself. At the midpoint between the Domains, they created a door that would transport those would walked through it to Sunrise, the home of the gods.
