Overview
Malakar, the Lord of the Night
Malakar is the steward of death and the night, and all of the good and bad that comes with it. He is perhaps the most misunderstood god, because while many traditionally "evil" races owe their allegiences to him, much of the perception of those races being evil is misunderstanding and bigotry. People often forgot that there are good and evil creatures that claim allegiance to each of the gods.
- Death
- Grave
- Trickery
- Twilight
Appearance
Of all the gods, Malakar's appearance changes the most depending on his mood. On a happy summer's night, he may be dressed in a flowing robe and dancing the night away under the stars of Solara. Or if he's angry he may be dressed in a black iron suit of armor and ready to go to war.
Family
Rituals
- Funerals
- Executions
Malakar's clerics are traditionally the ones called to oversee the death and funeral rites. They bring comfort to those grieving from loss, be it death or life (a breakup / divorce / etc).
They also serve as executioners for the administration of justice.
It is said that Malakar will himself appear to every person just before their death and guide their souls into the plane of the dead where they will judge themselves for their actions, self actualizing their own hell or heaven.
Notes
Rogues and Assassins generally revere Malakar
