A booming economy and the richest inhabitants in the galaxy. Like the other major factions, Dynamus has extensive farm planets growing algae, rodents, and other lower forms of life to be reaped for their grit. Dynamus' strength though is in its lively market and advanced tech. It's also known as the empire of sharks because of its loaning practices. Often smaller factions will find themselves in a bind trying to procure military or advanced tech and Dynamus lends a hand, either loaning the tech they need or the funds to acquire it. The interest rates are intense and sometimes unpayable which leads to the sharks owning the smaller faction and turning their worlds into grit farms. The largest loans Dynamus has out are to the Astras Empire who is paying through the nose for the tech to build their Dyson sphere. The nanotech and matter printing tech required to create the structural material for the sphere is advanced even for this day and age, especially for the quantities required. This has been a great boost to Dynamus' wealth.
Their navy is about a third the size of that in the Astras Empire but is up to date with the latest shields and weaponry. The Republic of Dynamus secret to their tech is just that, a secret. Most believe their tech level just comes from ridiculous spending on research but nobody knows for sure.
Magic users here are not rare but most keep to themselves depending on the world. Many see it as a waste of time and learning, while others seek to make a lot of grit from it. Tolerance varies from world to world. Only a small part of military spending goes to training of magic users, but they are indeed seen as an asset.
Dynamus trades heavily with all the major and most of the minor factions. A megacorporation called TerraBits based out of dynamus has the only tech based engine that can drill into hyperspace. Before the Auger engine, magic users were required to perform incantations with grit to open up wormholes. Now the auger engine of various sizes is standard on all interstellar ships in Dynamus and TriMecha. It still uses grit and tends to use much more than an incantation.
