Overview
The Corziar (Thanatos)
A religious staff used by Thanatos during the Automachy War. It's made of some questionable materials...
Physical Attributes
- While an outside observer wouldn't be able to easily discern this, Thanatos' Corziar is made out of the High Priest Offentor's remaining components. This includes what remains of his wings, his face, his limbs, and his MindString (Read: Spinal Cord).
Foe and ally alike were horrified by the Corziar's materials, but Thanatos reasons that by making his staff from the corpse of the High Priest, he is damning him to the eternal punishment that he so desires to inflict on others. Some still have their doubts.
Special Abilities
- The Corziar is able to weaponize the half living consciousness of Offentor to psychically emit
Notes
- "Why the hell did I make this disturbing weapon?" you may be asking.
Well originally, I wanted to keep Pyus the Offentor alive for the second installment, but I decided that his death would probably be more narratively satisfying and befitting in Io's character arc than keeping him alive to kill off in the second installment.
But since I wanted to have my cake and eat it too, I thought of ways to keep his presence "alive" so to speak. Eventually, after some brainstorming I landed on the idea that parts of Pyus' consciousness would live on in a staff that Thanatos would use in the war and one that would be destroyed by Io in the finale.
