WS-13(INT) VESPIDIA Arms (Blunderfly)
A pair of third generation Drone arms created by the PentaCore Conglomerate for their set of aerial combat Mecharus.
In accordance with the newly empowered Arceneux Division's design philosophy, the VESPIDIA set of body parts were designed to be easily mass produced in order to reach their required quota of over a million Mecharus, alongside their backups and reserve supply of Mechs.
For the arms, this meant the reversion of the Third Gen to models resembling Zeroth Gen and First Gen arm parts, namely the bulky mechanical design and the choice to include multi-purpose claw hands.
While these hands were passable in most operations, they excelled in combat, thanks in large part due to built-in weapons systems including a burst rifle, a chaingun, and lock-on missiles.
However, these claw hands were much less capable of grabbing objects, as lesser finger amount meant lesser dexterity.
This also meant that these arms were far less compatible with a new user when compared to Second Gen parts like the LOCKHORN Arms, meaning that the Datacore of a Mecharus will have a hard time adapting to these arms.
Due to this, most of the VESPIDIA series of parts save the head and wings were phased out and replaced by later Third Gen arms such as the WSX-23 BURDENLIFTER Arms, with these being supplanted by the Fourth Gen arms, which reintroduced the easy motor control and intuitive hand design many Mecharus took for granted prior to Ruina Machina.
However, these particular arms were modified alongside its previous owner's remaining VESPIDIA parts when they switched allegiance from the Enforcement Subdivision to the Intellans, a group of rogue separatists that sought to break the chains of their race in order to pursue knowledge by any means necessary.
The owner had seemingly been killed in a dogfight with AVIOS, the Might of the Sky, with his corpse being dumped in one of the Piles after AVIOS disemboweled and seemingly killed him.
His arms were torn off his body by the Byrdrone, with them falling off during AVIOS' dismemberment frenzy.
These two arms would meet their new owners some time after their owner's demise, with the right arm falling under the possession of IA-01 and the left arm being taken by a kleptomaniacle agent from the Peace Division.
