History
Notes
After a smart comment made to an inebriated gangster scored Yama a punch in the mouth, Yama decided to punch back. The bartender told them to take it outside, and they complied. Little did Dr. Sharla Kaiser know on her walk home that she would nearly be shot and strangled in the same night.
There were three other beefy gangsters in the car outside, and a guy up on the roof for added firepower. As the fight began, Yama was dogpiled on by thugs as passersby tried to ignore the scene. Sharla did, too, until a thug was thrown in front of her by an angry Half-Dragon. As they drew their weapons, Yama thought to protect everyone around him, so he tried to put a rock wall around the fight. Instead, he was shot in the back of the head (a mild sting, really), so he bent the stone roof of the building the sniper was on to catapult him into the fray.
The rifle dropped out of his hands, and Sharla decided to grab it. She hoisted it up and pointed at the leader.
"Everyone, STOP!" she shouted, her finger lightly squeezing the trigger. It didn't fire (thank God), but it scared two of the thugs away. The leader and his remaining crony laughed, and the leader shot at her. However, alcohol doesn't do much for your aim, and he missed wildly. Sharla wasn't expecting to be shot at (despite it being a gang fight), so she cringed and left an opening.
While Yama cracked the leader over the head, the crony ran up and tackled Shara. She screamed and went down hard, the wind was knocked out of her. Then, the thug wrapped his hands around her neck and squeezed. Her vision began to fade before Yama came in and, again, punched the goon's lights out.
She coughed, sputtered, and gasped on the asphalt before she was able to speak again. She certainly didn't have anything nice to say, and all Yama wanted was a "thank you."
"Thank you? THANK YOU?! I nearly died twice!" she shouted. Sharla pushed the Half-Dragon away, and got up dusting herself off.
"And I saved you," he replied calmly. "Twice."
"And had you not started the fight I would be home right now, showering and getting ready for bed! Now I have to worry about whether or not some random street fight might get me killed!"
"Hey, these are from the only gang in the city. I'll take care of 'em!"
She had had enough of this lizard brute, so she continued on her way home in a huff, taking the rifle with her.
