Artefact

A crisp white, high-spired seashell, just big enough to fit in the palm of one's hand. Lifted to your ear, you would hear the waves at first, gently crashing against the shore. Those chosen by the shell, however, hear something more. Sometimes a gentle whisper, sometimes a violent roar; the whims of the Wentletrap Shell are as ever changing as the tides themselves. Buried amongst coastal sand and debris, it takes a watchful eye to catch sight of the Wenteltrap amongst the more colorful, vibrant shells surrounding it. It is drawn to cunning, adaptability, and ingenuity, though to make the most of its gifts, the owner must become adept at sifting through its many moods and riddles.
