Overview
The Cave of Resurrection
A cave in the mountains said to be the same cave that Vidal died and was brought back to life in. There is a high concentration of magic left in the cave, which is the only evidence that it could've possibly happened there.
History
This cave was originally from the world tree, and supposedly survived after its destruction. According to surviving Agian texts, after Vidal had been driven mad by Ghidon's dark magic, he committed suicide in the cave after killing an innocent mortal woman (whom he thought was his sister, Fyra). After his body was discovered, the high goddess spent four days and four nights chanting an incantation to bring Vidal back to life--in which she was successful. The only piece of evidence left that could prove this taking place is the high concentration of magic that is saturated within the cave.
Many researchers and students of all kinds of magic have taken interest in the cave due to its story and magical properties, but little progress has been made as the cave is said to be cursed. Those who enter the cave at present usually do not come out--the few who do come out are plagued with symptoms akin to those that Vidal had apparently experienced when he went mad: hallucinations, hearing voices, and various injuries.
