Overview
Ataraxia
autonomous city
Ataraxia is a religious settlement. This place houses the tombs of the dead cut into the rock of the mountains and the friars and priestesses' who live in the Abby maintain the temple where people come to pray to their ancestors for healthy family and crops. The deity of the Moon is represented by the Feminine as Night and Death and The deity of the Sun by the Masculine as the Daystar and life in the form of agriculture. They believe the moon is the sun's wife, equally responsible for life. Each of the major cities has a Temple of the Daystar that house the friars of agriculture and medicine, and a Temple of Eternal Night that houses the sisters of cremation and burial.

two miles inside the southern part of the Dakkur Bodden mountains
Self sustaining gardens, goats, sheep, cows
They have a mine for granite and emeralds. This is the only known source of emeralds, considered as approval from the gods for good agricultural practices.

History
Founded just after Friar's Gate, about a hundred years later. They wanted the religion to be autonomous of the kingdom.
The sister of night wear black and dark green, colors of the night and death. The friars of the daystar wear gold and green, colors of life and agriculture. Friars work the granite quarry and Sisters work the Emerald mine. Men from any kingdom can come work at the granite quarry for pay. It is considered working with the gods.
This religious colony was settled long before the kingdom was split in three.
800 years ago, when both Friar's Gate and Ataraxia were attacked to force them into Dakshin kingdom, both religious places fought back and won their independence. They maintain that they are there for all kingdoms and there for cannot be ruled by one while there are three. They can only be ruled if the kingdoms unite. From that day both places maintain their own armies.
Notes
There are three standards here. The Friars of the daystar banner a gold sun over plant green vines on a field of light green. The Sisters of Night standard is two crescent moons on either side of a full moon over vines all in light green on a black field. The Black Guard standard is a gold sun/silver crescent moon on a black field.
