It used to be a residential area, but after the Battle of Titania, which took place in Aquarine, it became a historic site. The Battle of Titania in X236 marked the first major victory for Erios, and also caused the fall of Evica’s formal government (even though Kepia bore the brunt of the work).
It is also significant as that battle was Titania’s first act as Queen, since the weakened state of Cainhorn led to Queen Eileen’s death. The Drayan’s are very reliant on the royal family, so the death of their Queen at such an essential time was quite crippling; Titania’s victory was essential.
Following Titania’s death in X272, the site began to serve as a sort of memorial. Those who live there permanently do so to ensure the ruins of Aquarine are preserved as well as Titania’s shrine. Her brother, Lavi, lives there as well when he’s not called away to Cainhorn.
