Very cold in the winter and normal in the summer, most sleep in one large room in the winter when it's too cold
In the forest pretty far from the military base
They brew a lot of alcohol I guess

Jack found the base and lived there by himself until he started finding other boy's lost in the woods and started making a group
They have been in war with a lot of people including other groups, travelers who gang up on them and in a more recent note the military but he's never really liked them.
