Military tradition is very important to Atsalisians, and have extensive military training in childhood. They have a more rigid family structure that emphasizes family expansion.

The Atsalisians believed that the galaxy was their enemy. They had waged a defensive war against the GRU and porcines and had little trust of outsiders.

Prior to its destruction, Atsalis had a barely self-sufficient economy, focusing most of its production capacity making and sustaining a military war machine, especially static defenses across the planet. Most families had to make what they needed themselves from what they grew or trading for raw materials or goods.
