Culture
Selenes' traditions are geared towards aesthetic beauty. Most of their festivals center around the beauty of the natural world and the celebration of manmade beauty, such as embroidery and artisanal handiwork.
Selenes rely on their celestial monarch, the Moon (known as Dal to them) and believe him to be the most powerful being. They don't see him as a god but a benevolent superior.
Tribes and small communal governments of regions and families gather together as representatives to the Paladin, who is the handservant of the Moon.
Selene technology can be comparable to 1820s revolutionary tech.
Town and farm Selenes thrive on barter systems. However, as a nation, they have an official currency of 'placeholding' checks, based on an individual's net worth, as well as coins made of silver.
Selenes eat mainly plant-based diets, with an inclination to sweet things, such as noon berries.
