Overview
Vesi Sanism
A religion based on the teachings of San Iesu and San Tiago
The Faith, Sanism, Church of Elyon
History
Andalusian envoys reached the shores of the Commonwealth, bringing with them the word of San Tiago. After a few decades, Sanism has taken a small but strong piece of the Vesi religious pie.
Beliefs
1: Faith in Elyon and his Prophets (San Tiago and San Iesu)
2: Men will be punished for their own evils, and not for the evils of their ancestors
Through obedience, faith, and following of the plates, mankind will be saved.
The plates command that men follow Elyon and his prophets, second, repent, third, be saved from evil by hallowed water, fourth, lay on of hands for the gift of the Wehatian Priesthood.
A man must be called of Elyon, by prophecy, and by the laying on of hands by those who are in authority, to preach the Plates.
Faith in the organization of the Synod, namely, apostles, prophets, pastors, teachers, and evangelists.
Faith in prophecy, revelations, and visions.
The words of the Plates and of the prophets are the words of Elyon
Faith in the fact the Elyon has, is, and will reveal to us knowledge.
Let us practise our faith, and let others join us.
Faith in authority and loyalty.
Faith in being honest, true, chaste, benevolent, virtuous, and in doing good to all men.
The dreadful day of Elyon.
"When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of Elyon shall lift up a standard against him; And the Redeemer shall come to Zion. The Lion of Judah will come only in a generation that is either altogether righteous or altogether."
Southwestern Vesi, surrounded by Piinists to to north, and Druids to the east.
To undertake the process of Absolution, to confess to a priest, and accept his penance.
Traditions
A ritual much like baptism (that is, being dipped in holy water) is performed on converts to Sanism both young and old. The laying on hands is performed by an elder on new priests, as is dictated by the golden plates.
Birth of San Iesu (November 13th), Rising of San Iesu (March 4th)
