"Awesome." Emrys gave Zuri a smile and glanced at her phone again. "Well, class started a minute ago, and there's still no teacher. Then again, that's not too bad, compared to some of the teachers I've had in the past."

Two adults, one male, one female walked into the room. "Greetings, I'm Ms. Bloomheart," the female said. She had blonde, curly hair that went down to her waist. Her green eyes sparkled in the light, and she had a body shaped not unlike that of an hourglass. She wore a yellow dress that was relatively long, and ended at her ankles. She had on black high heels, though the heels weren't tall.
The male waited a bit before introducing himself. "I'm Mr. Glassman," he announced, adjusting the way his circular framed glasses fit onto his face. They were black rimmed, and he himself had a body that was obviously kept in shape daily, even though he had on not only a blue, red, and white plaid coat, a white sweater, and a dark blue fluffy coat on.
"We have two teachers?" Loren whispered to Zuri and Emrys. She'd never had more than one teacher per class before.
“That’s pretty common for gym type classes I’m pretty sure,” Zuri whispers back.
“It’s always a guy and a girl too.”
"Really?" Emrys whispered. "I hope there's not going to be two classes, 'cause that would suck." She eyes the two teachers. "They're very well dressed for a gym class." Her eyes widened, and she groaned quietly. "Oh, that'd better not mean it's a history class that just happens to be in a gym."

"God, same," Loren agreed.
"Alright everyone! I want all of you to pair up! If there is an odd number of you, there will be ONE group of three! I repeat, only one group of three!" the male, Mr. Glassman called out.
"Wanna stick together, find out if we can be a group of three?" Loren whispered to the others.
"We're totally being the group of three," Zuri agrees. "I mean, grouping up is kind of reassuring. Maybe some group physical activity?"
"Yep. We're going to be the group of three," Emrys said confidently, glancing around at the other kids. "Looks like they're all pairing up. Good." She looked at Zuri and nodded hopefully. "I hope it's not another icebreaker."
“I’m guessing we’re doing some basic physical activity so the teachers can see where we're at.”
Zuri scans the class to make sure there wasn’t one line wanderer that one of them would have to pair up with. She didn’t see any.

"Yeah, probably," Loren agreed.
"Okay! I want all of you to discuss why we might want to have some controlled fights among the students!" the female, Ms. Bloomheart yelled.
"Controlled fights?" Loren questioned. "I mean, they're probably to develop student strength."
"Yeah," Emrys agreed with Loren. "Also, probably to teach control and let us learn how to fight without the whole, dying-if-you-fail thing." She grinned excitedly. "I honestly can't wait."
"We love not dying," Zuri adds.
"Ya'll don't have a chance. Especially if we get fake weapons."

"I mean, like I said, I try to avoid violence as much as possible, so I don't know how much I'm going to enjoy this class," Loren made a small face.
"Okay class! Now that you've discussed this subject, I want raised hands to tell me what you think about it!" Mr. Glassman called to the students.
"You'll probably be fine. Hopefully, they won't make kids who don't want to fight, fight." Emrys reassured Loren. She looked up as the teacher spoke, then ducked her head. "Yep, nope. Don't call on me."
“Alright, I’ve been thinking about this. I know I said I wouldn’t use my voice on you guys, but first of all I’d have to if we fight, and second of all I totally want to raise one of y’alls hands for you,” Zuri says.
"Oh, please don't!" Emrys looked up and gave Zuri a pleading look. "I mean, I know an answer, but… who wants to talk out loud?" She grimaced and ducked her head again, staring intently at the ground.

"God, please don't raise a hand for me," Loren grimaced at the thought.
"Y'all are a silent class, huh?" Mr. Glassman wasn't looking for an answer, and helooked around and saw no hands, but instead whispered side conversations among the students. "I guess we'll just have to pick students!"
Ms. Bloomheart, looked at the attendance sheet on a clipboard and called out a random name. "Zenith Meyers? Why don't you tell us what you think the purpose of controlled fighting among students is?" she asked, looking up at the class.
A short male with glasses and short, scruffy blonde hair stood up. "Sir, yes sir!" he called, making a small group around him crack up, and who Loren assumed must've been Zenith erupted into laughter as well.
Ms. Bloomheart looked sternly at Zenith and repeated the question, and the Zenith and the kids around him fell silent, and Zenith could feel their eyes on him. From the very depths of his brain, he pulled out, "So we can have fun!" he called back to the two teachers, grinning from ear to ear.

(Also if you want to make any of the teachers do anything, by all means, go ahead, I don't care.)
“Alright, I won’t manipulate you for silly things like that,” Zuri responds.
“Also, I may have overdone it a little in the dorm for dramatic effect,” she admits sheepishly while she raises her hand to save the teachers.
Mrs. Bloomheart looks relieved at points up at Zuri.
“You there! Please state your name and answer the question seriously!” She booms.
Zuri stands up and states her name, Zuri Beau, and then repeats the different things that the girls had just talked about.
"Oh, thank you." Emrys sighed in relief. "Uh, what do you mean, overdone it?" She asked when Zuri finished speaking. "I mean, I get the need for drama, but what did you overdo?"
“I only sing like that during actual fights. For simple tasks it’s much less dramatic,” Zuri explains.
“My mom also has the siren song and she used to always make me clean my room using the clean-up song and I’d just glare at her the whole time. I didn’t really have to put you in a full on trance. My bad I guess.”

Loren glanced at Zuri, and only replied, "Well then."
"Oh, I see." Emrys gave Zuri a sharp look, which quickly morphed into something softer. "So, you didn't have to make me go all zombie-like? I could have been giving you a death glare the entire time?"
“Yeah?” Zuri squeaks.
She looks down and scratches the back of her neck, expecting to be scolded. Mom would totally kill her if she was there.

Loren took a deep breath through her teeth. "Just… try not to do that again unless you have to?" her voice raised up a pitch in the end, as if she was asking a question.
"Yes ma'am," Zuri answers. She would try and weave her way out of this using her great persuasive skills, but she had to bunk with these people. Picking a fight and being sarcastic to the people you see most and sleep with isn't the best way of living.
"Oh, can we please do something else besides talk?" Emrys muttered to herself, tired of listening to the other kids answer the questions she already knew the answers to.
