As a religious person, I can't really understand how someone who just miraculously survived an accident couldn't question if there is someone or something out there watching over us. However, thanks to the explanation given, I can understand how Jacob is agnostic.

Judging from this chapter's title alone, I'm guessing that Jacob is going to remember what happened…. Rather early for this in my opinion.
Jumping right on into what I'm hoping is just a nightmare, not a memory; as I said before, I think that it's too early for that.

So, not a demon (at least how I see demons to be). More like a dragon based off of how the creature is described.

That's quite the time leap. Just went from May 31st to June 17th. I understand needing to hide the journal and whatnot, but those gaps of time man! I wonder if Dracula has given Harker more clothing, or if Jonathan's been wearing the same thing since May? Maybe he's walking around nude? I NEED ANSWERS!

The Gypsies/Szgany have fallen victim to Dracula, as well Harker. Just they're apparently doing physical labor. A better guess would be that they've become food for the vamps.
I chuckled at the fact that Dracula has decided to wear Harker's clothing! Quite sick that he's feeding children to his femme vampyres.
