He held her, shaking. He was terrified

"Hey, it's all right," she soothed, and started to sing a soft lullaby that Anne had taught her:
"Pantobel, pantobel, kay noe pe minopa, minopa, minopa / Pantobel, angis ni levie, pantobel, minopae ni levie…"

He stopped shaking slowly.
"What is that?" He asked, curious

"Hm? Oh. It's a lullaby that Anne taught me. It's about dreams, I think."

"Ah. It's really soothing."

"Yeah," she said absentmindedly, continuing to sing it.
"Kay noe minopae, kay noe minopae / Pantobel, angis ni levie, in som ni wu. Wu kay noe levie minopae! / Pantobel, pantobel, kay noe pe minopa, minopa, minopa / Pantobel, angis ni levie, minopae ni levie, kay noe levie minopae."

He stood up.
"Let's get something to eat…"

"We probably should," she said, sitting up.

"And I don't wanna cook right now…"

"I can cook."

"Go ahead then."

They went to the kitchen. "What do you want?"

"Surprise me." He smirked

"All right. You got an apron somewhere?"

He pointed to where one was

Nyx put it on. It being one of his, it was enormous on her, but she tightened it as best she could and set to cooking.

What's that thing you wear when you cook?
It's called an apron, Six. It protects me from getting food on my clothes. Every good cook should wear an apron.

(I actually made my fiancé wear one of those like waiter apron thingies once and he was so adorable and I almost died.)

"Can't wait…" He stated

"Do you want anything specific?" Think of comfort food, Nyx. What did Anne make you on hard days?

"Not really.."

"I can make spaghetti. Or grilled cheese. And hot chocolate."

"Anything's fine, dear."

She made grilled cheeses, warmed up some tomato soup, and made hot chocolate.

"Thanks, dear." He sighed, drinking the hot chocolate

Nyx took off her apron, draped it over the nearest chair, and sat down next to him, drinking her hot chocolate as well.

He ate his grilled cheese. It had been a long time since he had one

Nyx, who wasn't very hungry, took a few bites of hers and then left it at that.
"I'm tired," she murmured, her head drooping against his arm. "It's been a long day…"

"Me too…" He agreed, finishing his grilled cheese

"Should we go to bed?" She cleared the plates.

"I thought you wanted to stay up?"
