"No, stay," Nyx murmured sleepily. It was wonderfully warm under the covers, and he smelled like heaven.

"Oh, okay then." He laid with her

And then, after a while, sunlight eventually spilled through the windows and landed in the room, making it bright and uncomfortably warm under the covers.
Nyx stretched. Waking up to sunshine was something she would never get tired of.

He had fallen asleep

Nyx curled up against his chest again and tucked her head underneath his jaw.
A vague idea had been forming in her mind ever since they'd visited the pyramids, but she hadn't been willing to act on it, until now.
She'd wait for him to wake up, and then she'd ask.
She kissed his neck and closed her eyes.

He woke up a few minutes later.

She felt him stir and tilted her head up, kissing his jaw.
"Are we going to learn spells today, then?"

"Oh, sure!" He got up

Nyx got up as well and followed him downstairs.

"Let's eat first."

"All right." She set the table; he made pancakes.

They ate.
"Which spell you wanna learn first?"

"What are my options?" She shoved a forkful that was more whipped cream than pancake into her mouth.

"Satanic magic, time stopping, Transformation of face and body, Transformation of objects, etc…"

"Transformation of objects?"

"Changing objects into other objects. In Harry Potter, it was called Transfiguration…'

"What's Harry Potter?" She'd heard of it - it was something about magic - but other than that, she had no idea.

"Nevermind. Which magic you wanna attempt today?"

"Time stopping." So I can get you back for cheating at Hide-and-Seek.

"Okay then. Just so you know, even if you know time stopping magic, you can't sense when someone else stops time.'

"All right." She shoved another forkful into her mouth. She was in her nightgown, mascara smudged under her eyes, freckles like stars against her pale skin.

He finished up. He went to get a book for time stopping

Nyx went up into her room, showered, and put on fresh makeup, a white tank top, and jean shorts.

He turned to the exact page

Nyx came back downstairs. "Vozreal? Where did you go?"

He was in the library.

Nyx came into the library and walked over to him.

"Ready?" He said, prepared

"Sure."

He seemingly teleported behind her in a literal jiffy. He stopped and resumed time.
"Sure about that?" He said to her, while he was behind her
