Auretta doesn’t respond as she lays on her side. “Mm…”

Val looks over, then sighs. She watches the sun set. Damn, time passed fast…

Nori laughs distantly. "What does mm mean?"

Val wonders that herself, but refrains from asking.

“Mm…” Auretta repeats, curling closer to Nori.

Nori chuckles, closing his eyes. "Fair enough." He finishes his song from earlier, then starts to doze off

Auretta soon falls asleep, curling close to Val and Nori.

Val stays awake, listening to Auretta's even breathing. Her form gets lit up by the moon and stars.

Auretta sleeps somewhat peacefully, hugging herself slightly.

Nori snores quietly, wings stretched out as he rolls to the side.

Auretta mumbles quietly as she shifts her position.

Val feels herself start to fade and smiles. So, it has happened elsewhere… Her power flows into Auretta, and she says one last word: "Live."

Auretta jolts awake, searching around frantically. “V-Val!!!” she cries, worried and scared for her friend.

A whisper of wind is the only thing that answers Auretta. Val is gone.

Auretta hiccups softly, crying into her hands. “V-Val!! Come back!!!” she sobs, wanting her friend by her side.

Nori gets up quickly, fists raised for a fight. “Whats the matter?? What’s-“ he looks over at the empty space next to Auretta, his hands dropping. “Wh-where’s… where’s Val?”

Auretta says nothing, still sobbing as she hugs herself. She felt crushed and it shows as she breaks down.

A soft, quiet voice, not Val's, answers. "Valerie hath saved Auretta. She hath sacrificed her life for the child, and in doing so she faded." The voice fades quickly.

Nori starts to sob, his legs growing weak as he approaches Auretta. “Where is Val??!”

“G-Gone…s-she’s gone…” Auretta chokes out, hugging herself tightly. “S-She…”

Nori erupts into tears, staring at where Val once was. “No…” he pants, hugging his arms tightly. “NO!!” He shouts as he drops to his knees, head in hands. An eruption of lighting and wind rain down as he sobs

Auretta sobs with him, her white hair drooping in front of her eyes. She feels broken. “I-It should have been me-!” she cries, tugging at her hair desperately. “IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN ME!!!”

(Yeah, I'll let up. Val is reincarnated very quickly this time!)

A bright flash of light illuminates the night, drowning out the moon. A glowing figure lands on the grass in front of Nori and Auretta, barefoot. The figure smiles, then walks over.

Nori sighs, dropping to the grass as the storm settles. He hugs Val, sniffing. “Oh god. I thought you were gone”

"Technically I was. And still am. I am Frēa, her fifth." Frēa laughs. The glow dies, revealing a petite Fae woman with iridescent butterfly wings. She picks Nori up and hugs him tightly.

Nori jumps away. "Ew!! What the fu-"

Frēa grins, then splits her form into Valerie. Valerie speaks up. "Hey, Nori."

Nori points at the two. "Who the… what in the… what??"

Val grins. "I know. I died. But, Frēa's my new incarnation."

Nori raises an eyebrow. "huh??"
