Asteria walked out of the common room to find someone but then she saw Melanthea grabbing Jay’s arms, and Jay was trembling like a leaf. She rushed over. “What-“ She said, “What are you doing?!”

Dropping Jay's arms, Melanthea puts her hands up. "I was just talking to him!" She says, her hands still up like she was getting arrested.

“Talking?” Asteria repeated, she hissed, “He was trembling like a leaf, a day-to-day conversation does not involve that! You always go on and on of what a good person you are and what not. Here you are, bullying this poor boy!”
