Jay tried his best to control his breathing, but he was now hyperventilating. He leaned against the wall for support when he began feeling lightheaded, and his visions kept sliding in and out of focus. It seemed as though all his bruises were hurting at once and he grimaced, staring down at his robes on the ground.
Hi people. Wanna do a Marauders Era Rp? (CLOSED)
You know what, forget this!" Melanthea says, "I think I need to finish my potions homework." Rushing to her room, she started digging through her trunk, growing frantic. "There it is." She sighed, holding up a sharp piece of glass, covered in old blood.
“That brat.” Asteria hissed, glaring at the direction that Melanthea ran off to. She took a breath and calmed down, just a little.
She turned to Jay, and in a soft voice she asked, “Hey, are you alright?”
Looking at the pictures of her sister, brother, and parents, she sighed. "Don't look at me like that." She whispers, pulling up her sleeve to reveal an arm, covered in healed cuts. Your weak, people call you evil, and you know their right, you deserve this, Melanthea thought as she slowly brought the glass shard to her arm.
"I-It's… she… she didn't…" Jay fell to the ground. "S-She didn't do it… it's not… not her fault… m-my parents…" He stuttered, unable to form complete sentences. "Abusing… glass… no, no, no, no, no…" Jay cradled his head in his hands, panicking more when he discovered he could hardly speak and his airways were closing.
“Breathe, okay? Can you breathe?” Asteria asked.
Melanthea winced as the blood started to flow. Its never bled that much, Melanthea thinks as her vision starts slowly slipping in and out of focus.
//what the flip is happening
Can I breathe? Not really, as my body seems to want me to suffocate. "No… n-no… no air…" Jay gasped. Calm down! You're probably having another panic attack, but you're in no state to tell her what helps. "It's not her fault… t-these aren't from her…" He looked down at the countless bruises, scars, and cuts just on his arms. He knew for a fact that his back was worse. "My parents… it's… it's them… h-has been for years and… and y-years and years…"
(Panic attack, self harm I think, and poor Asteria stuck in the middle of it all)
(OKAY SO
Melanthea was confronting Jay and stuff about the abusive parents and stuff.
And then Asteria was like: oh no excuse me you brat what you doing.
And then Mel ran off and cut herself.)
(Okay Robby is better than summarizing than I am. ._.)
(Lmao)
(I'm still lost….)
//okay
“What.” Cato couldn’t see the third year, so he rushed over to Jay, careful not to touch the trembling boy.
Grabbing her bandages, Melanthea wraps up her arm, getting sprayed in the face by her own blood in the process, before blacking out.

“Deep breaths,” Cato said, crouching down next to Jay. “Umm. Picture the ocean. There’s nobody there to hurt you. You stand on a beach, and you stare out a the calm waves as they lap over the shore. Palm trees rustle in the light breeze, and you are okay.” AGH WHAT DO I DO

“Dude you’re better at this than me.” Asteria muttered to Cato.

(Jay: WHAT DO YOU THINK I'M TRYING TO DO)
Jay looked up at Asteria and Cato, holding his breath. Granted, it didn't help his situation much, but he wasn't really think clearly. Black started pressing at the corners of his vision and when he attempted to breathe again, he found that he couldn't. No hyperventilating. No air. Well, now he was really freaking out. "Calm down, calm down, calm down…" He whispered rapidly to himself. "Stupid!" He slapped himself hard across the face. "Pull yourself together! Stupid, stupid, stupid!"

(Trust me, it can happen.)
“Dude you’re better at this than me.” Asteria muttered to Cato.
“Nope making it up as I go along,” Cato muttered back, trying not to scare the first year. “How do I do this without touching him????”
Cornelius strolled over with a bag of licorice. "Hey I got this from my backpack. I don't know how long it's been in-" He looked up and glanced from Cato to Asteria to Jay. "What happened?"
