" I understand. I'm going to be here.."

"I appreciate it, Shuichi… I really do…" He sighed. "Let's just cuddle and hopefully go back to sleep for a bit…"

Kaito then held the other close, falling silent, his mind wandering off to random thoughts of things he liked in an attempt to calm him..

Shuichi fell asleep.

Kaito eventually fell asleep as well.

Shuiki was walking with his old friend while kaito slept at home. " It's nice to see you again kokichi."

"It's nice to see you, too, Shumai~!" Despite not seeing him since high school, Kokichi still used the nicknames he always did to refer to Shuichi. "How've you been? I heard you're a famous detective now!"

He smiled " yeah, roumars do spread. " He said

Kokichi smiled. "I knew you'd become one! And you always said you weren't deserving of your Ultimate back in high school!" He laughed. "To think how wrong you were.. And I thought I was a liar!"

Shuichi flushed at his cheeks " yeah.."

"Anyways, outside of your career, how's life been?"

" Great! I've got a cat and Ive kaito…but he's been.. really really sick here lately.." his head lowers " I'm cared honestly. That I might lose him.."

Kokichi sighed. "I'm missing some context here… What's going on with him, exactly?" He seemed a bit worried, even if he always acted like he hated Kaito during school. He cared deep dowm.

" I'm not actually sure. I'm just, scared to be alone.."

Kokichi hugged him. "I get it, Shu… I really do…" He sighed. "Seriously though, what is going on with Kaito? How's he doing right now?"

" hopefully he's sleeping. " He said softly. Shuichi leaned on the other as they walked back home.

"I hope he's doing better soon.. I'm not the closest to him, but I know you care a lot about him.. If you ever need someone to talk to, you've got me right here.."

" I know, thank you." He said softly and smiled

"Of course, Shu. Anytime." He smiled softly. "If you don't mind me coming inside for a bit, I'd like to see how Kaito's doing..just make sure he's okay.."
