It's volunteer work at a historical reenactment. I can get paid when I'm sixteen.
Don't frickin die, this is why I hate bugs
I love bugs, and anything remotely medical, which is why I take interest in all this as it's unfolding. It's…weird but I find it very entertaining, cool, and informative to have a virus transferred by a bug.
Haha fair enough, I think medical stuff is neat just not bugs
D'vorah who
omg you actually understood that reference
Oh my god, Loops don't die!!! That would devastate me!!!! Nooooo!!!!
Welp it's day 2 of what's probably the virus and now I have a killer stomachache and can't eat anything :D
Well… It's the 4th of July… how exciting.
Sigh honestly, the 4th of July feels like a pinata filled with bees at this point. I just like the fireworks.
That is exactly how I feel. And I have some… dumb neighbors… and we live in a desert, with dead plants. I'm super paranoid in the summer, especially on the 4th.
No. I hate fireworks.
SAMEEE
I like this Holiday because me and my friend have a Harry Potter movie marathon and play the fun game Fireworks or Gunshots. It's even more fun when one is illegal in your state and it's not the gun
Sadly I've never read or seen Harry Potter
Hey pickles your comin to Canada! XD awesome!
I do not like the current meaning behind this holiday. Our present version of 'America' is so much different than what our original ideals were, which is why I loved the festivities today at my reenactment place. We put up buntings and I got all the other kids to play tug-of-war and prince of paris and taboo and buzz, and we made fruit cake and shrub (mulberry juice) and all sorts of things, and then there was a traveling comedy show that 'came to town' and they were amazing, and then the 'militia' fired their guns and there was a presentation of the 26-state flag to the schoolteacher and a reading of the declaration and everybody was dressed so fancy and it was. lovely.
and then I came home and ate mandarin chicken and rice, because nothing says patriotism like lenape and chinese cuisine
OH MY GODS YES.
I hecking LOVE reenactments.
If I could work at a reenactment place as one of the characters, I would. Literally die of excitement. I LOVE IT SO MUCH.
Also, acting is kind of my thing but
YESSSSSSSSSS.
We celebrate Canada day on July 1st so I cant really relate since we don't take it that seriously
Theres usually fireworks and a parade

Yes!! I work at a living history museum set in 1836, and I fancied up my costume today with a lacy fan and daycap, and a cloth bonnet for once that's nice and blueeee and a red flower pinned to my apron and hnnnn.
OOOOOOOH THAT'S SO COOL!!
I LOVE doing costuming for shows cause like
It helps me SO MUCH to get into character and the costumes for shows set in the 1800s? GORGEOUS.
They're rly sweaty because I have to wear a full petticoat and stockings under it, also the shoes are slippery, so I lost at tug of war. BUT yes it's fun!! My 'sister' and 'sister-in-law' were there as I was Elizabeth Bucher from NC.
ACKKK
CHARACTERS
ACKKKK
ahem. sorry. got a little excited there.
Yeah, I had to wear a full 1800s costume for Oliver, and they made me wear like 4 petticoats, bloomers, stockings, and character shoes (you know, because theater) but like. It HURT, but it was worth it, cause it was… it just WAS.
Want to hear a rly kinda cute story from today
Pfft YES.
Okay so this guy named Enzo (character name Martin Zimmerman - a german family) was sitting on the front porch of the inn with me, and then the militia came walking by and he squinted and stood slowly and was like "Is that who I think it is?!?!?" And one of the militia men broke out of line and they went running toward each other and "Mein Bruder!!!! He is back from war!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" And they hugged a lot and talked and it was nice
