Guys I just had the most terrifying nightmare and I'm r e a l l y freaked out

So this guy(who I know and who is EXTREMELY UNSTABLE and has access to guns) decided to shoot up the school at the Homecoming Dance(which is tomorrow). I was hiding in the girls locker room with a bunch of other people and everyone was screaming and crying and we all thought we were going to die. I looked over at the person I may or may not REALLY like and said something along the lines of "(their name) I love you so much and I know you're dating (their bf's name) but I just have to say this because if we die here then I won't get the chance to" and they said something(I don't really remember) and then there were gunshots at the door and I heard the guy say something about the window(we have a little office off of the girls locker room) and I was freaking out and someone said get the flags so we have at least some chance of fighting him off and then the nightmare ended

I've never been worried about a school shooting where I live before this and I'm terrified

Not yet, that was at 4AM and everyone else in my house was asleep. I didn't want to wake anyone up for it.

Thank you. It's just terrifying, I mean he rode his bike to my house to hang out my little brother and has been one of my brother's closest friends for a long time, and I knew he was a little off, but now I can't help but wonder what would have happened if he'd snapped at my brother.

What's happened to him now?

I don't know. We'll probably only get rumors about it for a while, but one of his family members is probably going to be in trouble for keeping a gun where he could get to it and not locking it up. The state's probably going to give him a better therapist, or he might get locked up in a psych ward if they think he's too dangerous. I hope it's the former though. The guy's scary, but I hope he can get help.

I'm just going off of what my parents told me was most likely, although I don't really know what other options they could have.
