"Awhile," said Skye skidding to a stop after three more jumps, "We have to backtrack all the way back to where we woke up in this world. and the location happens to be halfway across town."
"Halfway across town?!" said Rio, "Skye I can't run that far! And If I can't then she definitely can't."
"You can make it" said Skye patting him on the shoulder, "But you do have a point…." he turned to Megan. "Sorry about that, I'm used to working with people that have more stamina than I do, and not full humans…"

"It's fine… But…. We should stop every once in a while just to catch my breath…" Megan smiled awkwardly. "Honestly, it would've been better to put a program chip in him so he can do all the walking, but I can do all the talking…." But I can't just use him like that… He's a human being just like everyone else…

(Robotic discrimination and slavery….?)

"Stopping will take to much time…" said Skye, "Listen if you promise not to freak out I have a different method…" he pulled out a silver Amulet embedded with a violet gem that had various hues of blue, lavender, and sliver swirling inside of it.

"Alright… I promise I won't… I'd probably be more in awe than freaking out…." Megan swept her hair back behind her shoulder. "Whatever it is you're gonna do… It better save me a lot of time and energy…" Not trying to be selfish… But that would be nice considering I have the least amount of stamina…

"Skye nodded then stepped back, grasping the amulet a slight shimmer came over him and in less than an instant a huge wolf stood in Skye's place. "We'll save a lot of time if you ride" said Skye as he padded over to her,

"Oh woah…. Alright then…." Megan heaved herself up and over on Skye's shoulders with the help of the roof's ridge. "Not sure how much attention a giant wolf running on top of roofs can attract…"

"It'll be fine" said Skye "now hold on tight!" he began to pad off down the roof, increasing to a lope before jumping the gap, and slowly increasing pace as Rio lagged behind.

Megan braced herself against Skye, clutching at his fur. She had nearly no other way. But when she glanced back, past her flapping hair, she saw Rio was nowhere in sight.
"Where on earth did Rio go???"

"he'll catch up" said Skye laughing as he ran almost silently over the rooftops, being sure to keep away from the edge where the people on the street could see him. "although I am surprised you're not asking me a ton of questions right now."

"Well, you're magic. What more is there to be asked about?" Megan held on tighter.

"Not all magic beings can spontainously shift into another form, and not all of them can stay up for three days straight with no sleep either" he said jumping another rooftop.

"Now that you tell me that…. How come?" Megan could barely hear him, and she didn't really want to yell out, either. Now I have questions, since you said not everyone does that…

"Technically I'm not human," said Skye, "also I'm a telepath" they started to head into some rougher oarts of town, places that looked both shady and dangerous, not to mention run down.

Megan was a little weirded out when she heard a voice that wasn't her thinking to herself. That's a bit crazy… But that doesn't explain how you can instantaneously shift like that…
She got a bit worried when they ran into the shabby side of the city. "And you're sure this is the right way?"

"Yes, Its the right place," said Skye, "also I should correct myself, it's not that I'm not human. It's the fact that I'm only half human that allows me to shift like this,"

Interesting…. She thought.
A bit later, Megan's core and arms began to get sore from tensing every time Skye landed from jumping and from keeping herself balanced on his back. "Not trying to be rude, but I'm getting a bit sore… Can we try to hurry this up?…."

Skye responded by slowing as he came up to the edge of the rooftop they were currently on. "Actually we're here now" he said as he hopped down to a dumpster, and landed in the alleyway.
A few moments later a blue flash appeared and an exhausted Rio landed on the dumpster. "You could've waited" he said grumpily between huffs.

Megan shrugged. "Oh well. We're here now…" She got off the wolf's back and stretched, bending and arching her back to loosen some tight spots. Man… I'm just getting older…

Skye shifted, Standing up in human form once more, "Alright, Now to investigate that hideout" said Skye leading the way to a door with a keypad. "This is the way we got out the first time," said Skye

"And what makes you think he can't see us right now?" I'm sure some evil dude would use security cameras, no doubt…. She approached the keypad but didn't do anything at first. Now how can I get this apart without anything to use on it…?

Skye pulled out a small tool kit, "Can you use these?" he asked.
Rio stood by watching, I don't even know why I'm here…. he thought to himself.

Megan had a look in the tool kit and took some stuff out. "Maybe I can try to figure out the coding here…." And then she got to work trying to decode it. "Might take me a little bit… Things like these take time…."

"Take your time" said Skye, "That's why I wanted to get here quickly anyway."

Rio decided to make himself useful and wandered off to guard the alleys edge

"Yup… Of course…" I wonder how many times he actually means to take my time… She opened the door to the wiring of the keypad, and she had a good study. ….Seems like they all go into here…

While Skye waited for Megan to hack the code, he meditated and sent out a ghost version of himself down to the lair. I wonder whats down here.. he said as he looked around. not really seeing anything he could use he let his concentration fade and focused on what Megan was doing instead.

Megan took a wire cutter and tried to single out the right wires to cut. When she did cut it, she unintentionally got shocked, and she yelped out of pure instinct. Dammit…

'Are you ok?" asked Skye when he heard her yelp.

Her fingers tingled as she waved them a little to ease the pain. "Y-Yeah…" Megan uttered. "I should be, anyways…."
She cut a few wires without shocking herself and was able to get the door open without typing a single thing into the keypad. "And there you have it, fellas."

Skye grinned, "Great!" now we can investigate properly!" he said as he led the way down the stairs into a rather dirty laboratory. (Think Doc Oc style ish) Skye stood in the middle of the room as Rio came back to stand guard at the door. Skye immediately made his way to a gate like structure that was placed against the wall. he paused and studied it. "Hey Megan!" he called to her, "Can you figure out what this does?" he asked gesturing to the machine.
