"No…. When I turn it on… It's supposed to turn on…" Tobias reached back by the plug, but a terrible shock grabbed at his fingers and he barked out in pain before the shock channeled to his brain and knocked him out…
"Tobias?!" Firiko came over to him and checked his pulse using a little Aura to be sure he was alright. "ok.. That was weird…" He said to himself. He was just going to call the others when he froze, he wasn't sure.. but he felt aura magic, faint, and unnatural. "Solaris!" He sent out a mental projection outside. Now he was able to investigate, he looked up to the roof and saw the strange man from before! Whipping himself back to his physical body in the basement he scooped up Tobias and went upstairs. "Guys we ave a problem!" he said from the doorway keeping his wings hidden as best he could.
Liam suddenly froze. “….Megan…. Tell me you heard that.”
She stopped too. “What?”
“I thought I heard yelling from downstairs….” He got up, but she quickly stopped him. Megan smiled sheepishly, getting a little anxious. “It’s nothing, I’m sure. They’re probably playing down in the basement….” Come on… Can you be just a little quieter…?
Firiko stumbled up the stairs with Tobias in his arms, "Skye!" He whispered from the stairwell, Skye looked over to Firiko and saw Tobias, "What did you do?!!" Demanded Skye,
"I didn't do anything! He was fixing something on the TV when he got an electric shock." Replied Firiko
"Then why didn't you just call me from down there?!" Asked Skye
"Because we have bigger problems, That man who-" Firiko was cut off by a thump on the roof.
Skye and Rio froze when they heard it. Skye sent a mental probe up there and sense a dangerous presence up on the roof.
Megan heard a thump, and tensed a bit. Liam heard it too, and he flinched a bit. "I think there's something up on your roof…."
"What are you talking about?…. I didn't hear anything…" Skye…. Come on…. I just need Liam to leave… This is a bad time.
Skye having been mentally weaker than usual heard her thoughts, "Megan" there was another thump, "I don't think he is going to leave…. is it possible we can trust him with the truth?" that last part he said aloud so Liam could hear. he flinched again and held the girls arm as she paled in fear.
Liam flinched. "….What truth?" He glared at Megan. "Is there something you're hiding?"
Megan swallowed a bit. "Well… No…. Maybe…" She bit her lip. How am I supposed to tell him?
"Can he keep this a secret?" asked Skye mentally,
"What I'm about to tell you is no joke, and I need you to keep it a secret…." Megan said gravely. "…Can you do that?"
Liam stared at her, bewildered. "…Um…." He stammered, hesitating. "Y-Yes… Yeah I can."
"Because these guys aren't from outta town," She continued, "They aren't even from the same world."
"World????" He echoed. "…What are you talking about?"
"Me and my buddies" said Skye gesturing to Rio and the girl, "We aren't from your world. We're from another world, and we were brought here against our will by some creep that want's to use our power as an energy source."
there was another thump on the roof, and finally one in the backyard.
"Rio" Skye motioned for him to guard the back door. "And I think the guy who brought us here managed to track us down…"
Liam wasn't trying to suppress his surprise and fear. "…Maybe this is a bad time…" He shifted a little, unsure what to do in the situation. "Maybe another day…"
"That would be nice," Megan said nicely, but stopped a bit short. "….Where's Tobias?"
(I assume Firiko is still in the basement….)
Firiko stepped out of the basement, "He's right here, and don't freak he managed to get himself an electric shock."
Rio tensed even more, "Guys we have trouble" he warned.
"An electric shock!?" She nearly jumped out of her socks. Oh no no no no… Megan got a bit overwhelmed, a sense building in her chest that couldn't be helped.
Liam held his hands up. "…I'm just going to leave… For your convenience…" And he went out the front door quickly before anything else could happen.
At least he's off my back… "Just lay Tobias up and in his bedroom for now…" I don't have time to repair him now….
As Firiko was headed upstairs to do what Megan asked, the glass door exploded, the force of it throwing Rio across the room into the wall, "Well well well, It seems my test subject tried to evade me!" Said the man with a grin, Skye lept in front of Megan and erected a shield Shifting to wolf form to protect her. Firiko hefted Tobias and also erected a shield, hoping to keep the man at bay.
It all happened so fast– with the guy making his grand entrance and all.
Megan yelped like the fearful girl she was. "What on earth do you want!?" She barked, knees locking and her feet planting her in place.
Yet the more she stared at the guy, the more compelled she felt to run away, even though there was Skye's shield there to protect her.
"I want my test subjects back!" growled the man, "ALL OF THEM"
"Well you aren't getting us!" said Skye concentrating, Then all of a sudden, in a flash of violet light, he vanished. Firiko set Tobias down and vanished in a ring of flames. Then Rio did too, after nodding to Skye, and telling him to stay there.
(Wait, hangs ons — did they all disappear, or just the guy, or just Skye Firiko and Rio?)
(Just the baddie Firiko and Rio, Rio and Firiko are going to deal w him someplace other than Megan's house and one or both is gonna get either captured or injured…)
(….And Skye???)
(Is still in front of Megan his shield will have dropped and he will be physically weaker than normal, The girl is on the other side of the room.)
Megan felt relief settle on her, but it wasn’t all there. “….Where did they go….?” She asked, vibrating. This is just getting worse and worse…. they have to get out of here….
"Elsewhere" said Skye weakly, "To deal with him where it won't cause damage here…." he leaned heavily on the counter. "I'm sorry this happened… I should've known he had a way to track us…"
Megan sighed. “And… you said earlier that Tobias got shocked… from the TV downstairs?” …Hopefully this will be the last time Skye and the others are here that I have to repair him… Although there was a crazy amount of calamity, she still put the food on the table.
"Right" said Skye, "I think he should be okay though…" he said collapsing into a chair exhausted.
"SKYE WE NEED HE-"
Skye's head shot up as he heard Firiko's cry,
"What happened?! What's wrong?!" he called to them worriedly,
Suddenly Rio appeared by the back door, bleeding heavily from a gash on his left arm and bleeding from another wound on his right side, he dropped his sword and fell to the ground, "He.. He got…" he tried to speak as Skye rushed over, "He got Firiko…" skye noticed A purple tinge to the wound, on rio's arm, "And he got you with coras…" he said as Rio passed out..
Megan collected herself together and rushed to Rio. “…Is there anything I can do???” Probably not… I may be an expert in mechanics, but I have no idea on how their anatomy works…. She had a closer look at his wounds, and noticed the same purple tint. “Do you know what that is?” She asked, glancing at Skye worriedly.
"poison" replied Skye worriedly, "It's not lethal, not to us anyway.. but Rio…" he paused to gather himself. "I need hot water and some clean rags that you don't mind stained. I also need saltwater, quickly" he said Shifting Rio so he was lying down on the floor. Skye quicky pulled Rio's shirt off and began using it to staunch the flow of blood, pulling his own shirt off to wrap around Rio's arm.
In a flustered yet efficient hurry, Megan got some spare towels from down in the laundry room in the basement, dropping them off by Rio and Skye as she went into the kitchen to get some hot water. Salt water…. .Salt water…. Once a pail was full, she gave it to Skye and had a slightly smaller pail with water mixed in with salt. “I hope this will do….” She breathed a relaxed sigh of relief, but didn’t let it get the best of her — Rio wasn’t at all alright still.
"Skye put his fingers in the water and tasted it, "It'll have to.." he said carefully. as he folded one of the towels and laid it under Rio's head. "Are you okay with these being ruined?" he asked gesturing to the rest of the towels.
“….I can always get more… those ones are pretty torn and ragged anyways and need to be thrown out….” Megan watched, intrigued although Rio was in grave danger. Please tell me he and Firiko will be alright….
"I have no idea if they'll be alright," said Skye in answer to he thoughts as he ripped on of the towels and motioned for her to get on Rio's other side. "I need you to help me lift him" he said.
