Ellis shrugged. "I know…"
"I wish I had some choice in who I marry…"
"I'm sorry." he said quietly.
Lloyd was silent for several seconds. "…I don't wanna get married…" He whispered.
Ellis bit his lip. "I'm really sorry, Lloyd." he replied softly.
Lloyd shrugged a bit. "There isn't really much either of us can do about it, to be honest…"
He nodded slightly. "Yeah."
Lloyd sighed softly and buried his face in his knees. "It's just… it's a lot to take in…"
He closed his eyes, biting his lip.
"I-I mean, I'm only eighteen, and I'm gonna be married and king in a few weeks… even though I've been training my whole life, I dunno if I'm ready."
"I know. i'm sorry." he sad softly.
Lloyd ran his fingers through his hair. "I'll get over it… I'm fine."
He bit his lip. "Maybe."
"Maybe? Maybe what?"
"Maybe you'll get over it."
Lloyd sighed. "I will. I've faced worse."
"Yeah. But still."
"Still what, Ellis? There's nothing I can do."
"I'm sorry. I don't know how to help you."
"I know. There's nothing anyone can do."
He nodded a little bit.
"…Do you want me to go?"
"No, it's…not unless you want to."
Lloyd nodded, staying put for now. "I just… don't wanna bother you…"
"You aren't."
Lloyd nodded again. "Let me know if you want me to leave, though…"
"Alright." he replied quietly.
