He sighed. "Fine. Let's go."
"Keep an eye out." Lloyd started walking slowly, watching the tops of buildings.
Ellis nodded, walking with him.
Lloyd eventually spotted the very end of a rifle. "Get down!" He tackled Ellis to the ground.
Ellis yelped, falling as Lloyd tackled him.
The gunshot hit a brick building, missing Lloyd. "Stay here." Lloyd got to his feet and pulled out his sword.

Ellis nodded, sitting up a little. "Be careful."

Lloyd stepped into an alley and flew up as silently as he could, looking around for who had shot at them.
Ellis stayed still, biting his lip.
Lloyd found the man, who was currently reloading his gun, and crept up behind him. Suddenly, he grabbed him and started tying him up. "You're coming with me."
Ellis waited, hoping that Lloyd would be alright.
Lloyd apprehended the man and brought him down to the ground, but when he landed, he suddenly tensed up and went ghostly pale. "Ellis… t-take him, will you? Keep away from his hands."
Ellis blinked, and took the man, frowning. "Lloyd? What's wrong?"
"He's… he's got a knife… be careful, El…" Lloyd staggered backwards, holding his stomach. He grimaced as blood seeped through his fingers.
Ellis's eyes flew wide. "Lloyd! Get back to the palace, you dumbass!" he exclaimed.
"I c-can't just leave you here alone… he could hurt you too…" Lloyd leaned back against a nearby wall, breathing heavily.
"i can take care of myself, go!" Ellis shouted, worried.
Lloyd looked up at Ellis, hesitating a few seconds before he took off, flying full speed towards the palace. "Get the police! They'll help you!" He called back.
Ellis nodded, and grabbed the man, dragging him towards the police station.
The man fought against his hold, but he'd dropped the knife by now and there was nothing he could do. Lloyd managed to make it to the castle's front gates before he collapsed and was quickly taken inside.
Ellis dragged him to the police station, where he told the officers what had happened.
The officers thanked him and took him in. Lloyd was carried to the infirmary, where the doctors immediately got to work.
Ellis let out a breath and started back for the palace, biting his lip and hoping lloyd was alright.
The doctors were still working on Lloyd when Ellis returned, trying to fix up everything inside the injured prince.
Ellis headed to the hospital area to wait, biting his lip anxiously.
After another hour or so, they finished up. Lloyd was stable, but he was still unconscious and had lost a lot of blood. Visitors weren't allowed in yet, which was very troubling to Nathaniel, who was waiting with Ellis and struggling to hold back tears.
Ellis looked over at Nathaniel. "Your brother will be alright, I promise." He said. "He's…he's a strong man."
Nathaniel nodded and rubbed at his tears, drawing in a few wavering breaths. He looked up at Ellis, clearly wanting a hug, but not wanting to ask.

Ellis wrapped his arms gently around Nathaniel. "He'll be okay." He said again, hoping he was right.
