L rolled her eyes and if she could speak she’d probably say something like ‘I see how it is Rookie, you trickster.’

"I bet you could kill a man in this form. Probably in the other one too, actually." She mused as she continued to pet L.
L made a quiet chuffing noise of contentment and flopped over onto her side.
She raised an eyebrow. "Do you want me to rub your belly?"
She pawed at her like ‘duh!’
Rook laughed and did so happily. "Who's a good girl?" She asked teasingly.
L teasingly nipped at her hand with a small growl.
"Hey, watch it, furry, or I'll stop petting you."
She growled at her but it was more friendly than threatening.
"I can't take your growling seriously in this form." She said, poking at her gently. "Which is funny, because you figure a literal wolf growling would be scarier than some human, right?"
She tugged on Rook’s sleeve as if to say ‘shut up’
Rook rolled her eyes and laid down her stomach, her face near L's, and huffed in her face. "So where did your clothes go? Do they just disappear, or what?"
L sort of just shrugged in response.
"Now I'm even more confused. I'm just gonna say magic and leave it at that." She continued to rub L's belly.
L chuffed quietly, one of her paws twitching slightly.
"This is so weird."
L gave her a glare like ‘you’re weird, shut up.’
"I'm rubbing my girlfriend's stomach, of course I'm gonna think that's just a bit weird. Stop giving me that look."
L lightly nipped at her fingers, the look staying.
Rook huffed but shut up, humming instead as she continued to pet L. It was quiet and calm.
She sighed, all the air leaving her lungs momentarily.
Soft and cuddly. Was the only thought going through Rook's head.
L was almost dozing off, her eyes closing.
She smiled softly at L and continued to hum soothingly, making herself a bit drowsy.
L suddenly gently clamped her teeth around Rook’s wrist, a spark of amusement in her gaze. It wasn’t enough to hurt her though.
Rook jumped, heart beating wildly as she looked around, frantic. Once her gaze landed on L, she settled a bit, scowling. "What the hell, you scared the shit outta me."
She almost seemed to smile, her eyes lighting up a bit.
"You little shit. I was worried."
She released her wrist with a roll of her eyes.
Rook crossed her arms with a huff and looked away.
