“O-okay” Alex said, thankful that his voice at least sounded normal.

As he went into the kitchen he started screaming internally. 'What just happened???'

Okay Alex CALM YOUR GAYNESS DOWN. NOTHING IS HAPPENING. He screamed at himself.

He got him and Alex water just in case he was thirsty. 'at least I finally talked to someone though'

‘You. Are. FINE’ he told himself forcefully. He wouldn’t let himself get close with someone again.

Landyn came back and sat a cup in front of him the sat back in his seat

“Thanks…” he mumbled, praying it didn’t have any sedatives in it before he took a small sip.

Landyn sighed "Sorry. You must be uncomfortable…"

“N-not at all. W-what makes you say that?” He replied nervously.

" j-Just most people are around me so i can't…carry a conversation that well…."

“Guess that makes t-two of us” he replied in relief. He had worried that for once something that he really felt had slipped through to the outside world.

"You seem like if you tried you could make friends easily. I feel like something is holding you back."

That’s when Alex remembered. People hate him, everyone did. For everyone’s life that he entered, he soon became the bane of their existence. He was useless, unwanted and unneeded. He didn’t deserve friends. He looked at Landyn and just gave a halfhearted shrug.

Landyn noticed it was getting late. "U-Ummm…You might wanna start heading home soon…"

“Oh yeah, you’re right…well it was nice to meet you Landyn.” He stood up, grabbing his bag.

"Yeah…You too…"

“Maybe…we could meet up again sometime?” He stammered

"P-Possibly…"

“Well…I guess I should give you this then.” He tore out a piece of paper with some numbers on it, his phone number. Alex’s hand was shaking as he offered it to him.

He took it and thanked him

“G-guess I’ll be on my way then” he offered a small nervous smile.

"S-See ya i guess"

Alex let himself out, humming along to “The Judge” as he walked back home.

Landyn mentally started screaming at himself

He sighed, there was no way Landyn would actually text him, or call him, or anything.

Landyn saved Alex's number in his phone. (the only number in his phone)

He dished his keys out of his bag and let himself in. “Home sweet home” he muttered, the sound echoing in the empty space.

Landyn messaged him.
Is this Alex?

Alex looked down at his phone in surprise, “yeah” he typed simply in reply.
