(ok! Have fun on vacation! I'll see you back into he 17th!)
Kendalla stayed in the gardens until nightfall, tending to the flowers in order to keep her mind off of facing Elijah again. She was afraid her statement might have gotten her into some treuble and didn't want deal with it at the moment. She planted some moon blooming flowers along with some vegetables for tomorrow
Greek Mythology romance
(Thanks!! I’m back :D)
Elijah sank down on his bed as he stared at the floor, resisting the urge to go check on her. Should he check on her? Or would that be invading her privacy..? He pushed his hood back behind his head, a freeing feeling that he could be himself again. Shiloh, Eros. Elijah was said to be the monster, but he was beginning to doubt that.
(yay)
"Alright, time to let you guys grow for tomorrow." She she stood up and brushed herself off. She headed back into the hoiluse, making her way around in the dark. "Good idea, head back inside after dark.." she muttered to herself, heading to the kitchen to finish up her dinner. She found the bowl and a spoon, sliding into one of the chairs
(derp)
(Sorry! I’ve been haven’t been as inspired lately and I couldn’t think of a way to respond
I’m back now for real tho)
Shiloh has stayed up after dark looking out his window for his wife to return. He’d grown worried about her, and when he heard the door open he breathed a sigh of relief. He doused the lamps in his bedroom and went over to lay down on his side of the bed and wait for her. He wouldn’t fall asleep until she settled in, so he stared at the floor while he waited.
(it's ok! Glad to see you're back!)
Kendall's headed up the stairs slowly getting and changed in the bathroom. She climbed into bed on her side and payed on her side, watching her husband's even breathing. She sighed softly and scooted closer to kiss his shoulder "good night my mysterious love," she muttered softly, curling up as close as she dared to him for warmth and drifted off to sleep
His expression curled into a content smile, “Goodnight..” he whispered back to her, and wrapped an arm around her. He didn’t pull her close to respect her distance, but he moved his head to rest his nose on her shoulder. Happy and comfortable next to his wife, he finally let himself fall asleep.
Kendalla awoke in the pitch black room and an arm around her waist. She glanced down and found the shadowy silhouette of Elijah beside her. She smiled softly and lightly stroked his hair.
His hair was surprisingly soft for a so-called “monster.” It felt wavy, even a bit curly in places, and as smooth as a silken dress. It was free of any tangles, even after his movements to get more comfortable. He shifted a bit in his sleep at her touch, but didn’t wake up.
She froze when she felt him shift but shortly resumed when he didn't wake up. She moved closer to him, pressing herself close and resting her head on his. "How can someone so kind and warm ever be a monster?" She asked softly, twirling a peice of his hair around her finger
His whole self seemed to emit warmth an comfort from his very nature. In his sleep he wrapped his arm tighter around her, holding her close to his chest like a child would hug a teddy bear. Even though he was gone for the whole day, he definitely made up for holding and treasuring her close after the sun dipped below the horizon.
She allowed him to hold her night after night. She'd silently burry her hands in his hair and rest her head on his chest. Occasionally, kendalla would lightly trace Elijah's features, trying to figure out what made him a momster
His face was almost as smooth as his hair, free of any imperfections or bumps save for the normal bones, nose, and other usual facial features. He had a straight nose, defined jawline, and a soft youthfulness in his clean-shaven face that seemed almost boyish—which of course did not match the gruff, raspy voice he used as a guise.
But maybe his teeth made him a monster; maybe he had long fangs that could kill in one swift bite, maybe that’s where he was all day. But again, violent wasn’t exactly a word to describe him and his demeanor.
Kendalla huffed slightly and sat up on top of him, still trying to see Elijah through the darkness. For the millionth time she shoved the thought of bringing a candle to the room so she could see him. She sighed softly and kissed the corner of his mouth before getting up for the day
Shiloh stirred awake as she shifted out of bed. He blinked sleep from his eyes, looking at her drowsily across the room. He smiled lovingly, “Good morning..”he murmured.
She glanced over her shoulder at him, knowing it'd be useless to try to see him. She smiled softly "sleep well?" She asked, walking over and sitting on the edge of the bed
Indeed, he had pulled the covers over himself to obscure his face, "In fact, I slept heavenly," he smiled. 'I seem to sleep better knowing you're there. Thank you.." he added the last couple comments softer, not a hundred percent sure how she would take it.
She smiled shyly "I'm glad I can help you sleep more soundly." She stood up and headed to the bathroom to change "I'll start breakfast soon."
Shiloh smiled from under the covers, “I’ll see you then. I should get changed too and then be down in no longer than an hour. Is that alright?”
Kendalla nodded "yeah, should give me time to see to the gardens as well," she shut the door behind her and changed into a simple dusty Rose colored dress. She pulled her brown waves into a loose bun and headed out to the kitchen "all yours!" She called to Elijah befire starting breakfast
(poketh)
Elijah hung his legs over the side of the bed once he was sure she was gone from view. He cast the covers off of him and got up to get dressed. He wouldn't bother with his hair until he went out to take a walk on the town among the mortals. He felt bad about not revealing himself, or no spending the day with his wife; but he was sure she would hate him more if she knew he had deceived her.
Kendalla headed out to gardens to gather the vegetables and herbs needed for breakfast before heading back inside and starting the breakfast. She made a quick loaf with garlic and herbs along with a granola with some stored oats. Humming while working, she finished up and cleaned the kitchen while waiting for the bread to cook.
Once he dressed himself, he opened up the door to make sure she was still downstairs. He exhaled with relief, pulled the hood over his face and made his way down the staircase, "Are you still in the kitchen, dearest?" he called.
"yep! Still here!" She called from her perch on the countertops. The cookbook from before cradled in her arms
"Wonderful," he returned with a loose smile. He peered inside the kitchen from around the corner, "Any way I can help?" he offered, trying to stifle a laugh at her perch on the counter.
Kendalla glanced up and smiled "love, is hiding really necessary?" She set aside the book and tilted her head "everything's done, just waiting for the bread to cook." She hopped down from the counter and peeked in the oven "aaaalllllmmmmost done,"
(bringing this back from the ded!!!!!!)
(Ah! Whoops I forgot about this one. Alive once again!!)
“More necessary than you know,” Shiloh smiled under the shadow of the hood. In the daytime like this he had to be careful to keep his head down. Maybe he could craft some sort of mask? As she hopped off the counter he inhaled deeply, and exhaled a satisfied hum. “It smells almost done.”
(it's okay, so did I for a bit. It's okay if you don't want to continue btw)
She grabbed some mits from the counter and pulled the bread from the oven, setting it down on the counter to let it rest and cool. "would I really be so scared of you if I did see you? And would you honestly think I'd care?" she watched him for moment, searching what little features she could see from behind the dark hood for any sign of hesitation. She walked up to him and shut her eyes, reached a hand out to cup his cheek pressed her head to his, having to reach up on her toes to come close to his height.
