He evaded his eyes from her, “I expect nothing less..you’re his little girl. But he can’t get in the way of this.” Or else Aphrodite might take things into her own hands..

She nodded "he won't, unless you intend to do me harm, he promised not to get in the way." She glanced down, suddenly nervous.
“I don’t intend you harm..” he breathed shakily. At least he didn’t mean to. “Where do…where do you want to sleep tonight?”
She hadn't thought of that… "I'll sleep on the couch, I wouldn't want to disturb you or anything."
“The couch isn’t very comfortable.” He glanced to the side to think—his neck was starting to get sore from looking down—“You can sleep in my bed. I’ll sleep on the couch if you’re opposed to laying beside me.”
She blushed "I'm not opposed to it, as long as it doesn't go as far as meer sleep. She said, "plus, sleeping in the couch wouldn't be fair to you either."
“Okay.” He allowed, “We should go out to the gardens now, it’s time for the ceremony.” He pulled the cloth covering his mouth further up his face and dipped out of the house.
She nodded and followed him out. Once out, she saw her parents and a few others she did not recognize, probably guests from Aphrodite. She followed Elijah out, keeping a few feet of distance from him
Elijah walked to the front of where the guests were gathered, Aphrodite in the front with an empty spot beside her. Where was Shiloh? Shouldn’t he be to the wedding he orchestrated himself?
(hahaha…uh ok Shiloh….)
Kendall hugged her parents as she walked by, glad to see they were trying to be happy despite the situation. She then walked up next Elijah and glanced up towards Aphrodite. She saw there was a spot that was empty and tried her best to conceal a snicker. He couldn't even come to his own schemed wedding? Arrogant as well as ignorant.
Elijah took her hands in his own as his heart pounded anxiously. This was happening. Kendalla was to be his wife. He regretted not being able to make the wedding with all the traditional customs, such as having a ceremonial bath, sacrifice, and feast, but those things were unnecessary (especially that half of them would reveal his true identity), so only the vows would have to do.
Kendalla took in a Shakey breath. She glanced up towards Aphrodite, determination in her eyes as she nodded. She glanced around, not seeing anything traditional set up and sighed in relief, they would skip the traditions for now until they got aquatinted with each other after the wedding.
Aphrodite nodded in her direction, a smirk sort of smile arising in her lips.
“I, Elijah, take you, Kendalla as my wife..to love and protect you for the rest of my life..” for being the god of passion, his vows were pretty lackluster, he thought. But then again, he was also the god of chaos, and chaos led his words. He would love and protect her for the rest of his life, even if she never knew who he was.
Kendalla swallowed a lump in her throat "I, Kendalla Kore, daughter of his and her Majesty of the Underworld, vow to you, Elijah, to love and protect you. They," she gestured to the crowd "say you are a monster. I for one, don't believe anyone's words. I promise you, with some patience, I will prove them wrong, by standing beside you thought the good and evil this world throws at us, throug every hardship we face in our life together. I only request you do the same. I swear to love you, not through force, but by patience and true devotion."
“Oh..” his voice broke. He hadn’t expected such faithful vows, and they brought tears to his eyes, “I..I promise that all the same to you and more, Kendalla. You took the words I was trying to say and made them better.”
Kendalla laughed lightly "your welcome?" She asked, genuinely amused by the reaction her words drew out from the man in front of her.
Persephone poked her husband "now, who does that look like?" Hades glanced up and laughed "us," he said
"Mhm, they're going to be fine." She said confidently
Elijah pulled her hands up against the cloth covering his mouth in a makeshift kiss, “My wife..” he mumbled quietly enough for only her to hear.
(awwwwww that's so cute!!!!!)
Her eyes softened at the gesture. She smiled softly and brought his hand to her lips "My husband…." She whispered back
(Eeeee I love this)
Elijah smiled behind the mask, “We can dance after everyone else leaves, if you want.” He offered, remembering her previous request.
Kendalla nodded "I'd love that. Though I must warn you, I'm not the best dancer." She admitted as they walked down the isle
“That’s alright.” He hooked his arm around hers, “If you want you can go spend time with your family. I should be going for the day..I’ll be back this evening.”
"you're sure? I don't want to leave you alone for the rest of the day." She said, leaning into him
“I’m sure.” He pulled his arm away to rest it around her shoulder, “Go have a good time with your family, I don’t want to loom over you.. I’ll see you tonight.
She smiled and nodded "I'll be around if you need me," she touched his arm reasuring a d headed over to her parents.
He watched her part ways towards her parents with a soft smile before turning to head down the mountain. Today was so wild, so much happened, and he needed the time to debrief.
Kendalla’s parents hugged her tight "that was beautiful, flower." Persephone said
"Thanks Mom. I hope I can fulfill the promises I made." She said
"I may not agree with the marriage but I know you will." Hades said
(Would Kendalla have mortal friends from the town?)
(uhhh sure? Not many.)
(Ok)
One of Kendalla’s mortal friends pushed through the other guests to get to her, “Kendalla!” She squealed, “You got married!!” She hugged her friend, oblivious to the entire situation.
She spun around and hugged her friend back "hi, lore. Yeah, yeah I did." She laughed "lore, these are my parents. I'm sure they dot't need introduction,"
