Estaban groaned and looked up at the ceiling. He wondered if Lucky was okay, and the more time that past, the worse came to mind. He pushed himself up to his feet and took the few short steps to the cell door to peek out.

Lucky let out a sigh of relief when she spotted Estaban, speeding up just a bit to get to his cell. "Hey." She said quietly, sifting through the keys for the right one. "We've got about five minutes before the next round."

@Dirt

Estaban grinned when he saw Lucky, relief flooding though him. "Ya alright?" He asked, ignoring what she'd previously said. Its not that he didn't care, but was more so worried about her.

"'M fine. More worried about you." Lucky said, unable to bring herself to look directly at him. She inserted the key into the lock, wigging it around and turning it, before pulling open the cell door.

@Dirt

Estaban cocked his head to the side, noticing how she seemed to be keeping her gaze on anything but him. "Ye sure yer fine?" He asked, trying to meet her eyes.

"Just reminded o' the million an' one reasons I don' like soldiers." Lucky said, dancing easily around the question. "Now le's get ya outta here, so we can go make some cash."

@Dirt

"This ain't over. Yer telln' me what happened later." Estaban walked from the cell and streched, wincing at the dull ache. "Come on." He said waving her over as he began twords the door.

Lucky shook her head, having every intention of avoiding that conversation. She followed after Estaban, stopping him before he could open the door, to listen for noise on the other side. "We're good."

@Dirt

"Thank goodness fer yer good hearing." Estaban joked. He'd been ready to just go though the door with out checking. He pushed it open, and looked around spotting so stairs.

"Kept me outta many a bad situation." Lucky said, slipping through the door and spinning the key ring on her finger.

@Dirt

"What we're lookn' fer is on the top floor." Estaban said, not nescacerly ignoring her previous comment. But more so seeing how that conversation would help with what they where doing.

"I think there's a locked door up here t' the next floor." Lucky said, thinking back to one of the soldier's long winded, mostly one sided conversations with her.

@Dirt

"perfect" Estaban grumbled under his breath. Locked doors would only slow them down.
Once at the door Lucky spoke of, he tried it anyways. Hoping that she'd have been wrong, "locked." He said, just as she'd said before.

@croccin-champagne

"My specialty." Lucky's smile was real this time, though admittedly mischievous and slightly wicked as she pulled out one of the dangling earrings in her ear, bending the metal without a second thought.

@Dirt

Estaban grinned. Did he regret bring her with him that day? At first, but slowly as time went on he began to see how useful she was. Not only that but a friend. "What would I do with out you?" He joked quietly.

@croccin-champagne

"Not be able t' get past anything that's locked, to start." Lucky quipped, shooting him a wink before getting to work on the lock. It took no more than a minute before the lock clicked, and she pushed the door open.

@Dirt

Estaban rolled his eyes, "right." He agreed with her and slid though the door way. Carful to actually listen this time. Getting caught now would result in getting shot. The task was something Estaban wasn't willing to take especially with Lucky around. He didn't want her to get hurt.

@croccin-champagne

((I have an idea for a scene at some point during this))

Lucky slipped down the hall, eyes scanning their surroundings as her ears listened carefully. She hooked the key ring to a buckle on one of her boots when they had a moment to pause, keeping it out of the way and her hands free.

@Dirt

(Ooo. Dare I ask what it is? or do you want it to be a surprise?)

The sound of foot steps could be heard down the hall. Estaban cursed silently, but when they seemed to be getting farther away, he let out a small sigh of relief.

@croccin-champagne

((It might help for you to know at least a bit, but the rest could be kept secret. Basically, a group of guards or something showing up, the man she stole the keys from with them, after they've robbed the stronghold.))

Lucky's steps never faltered as she cycled through what she could remember about the jail, and paired it with the jails she'd been in previously. Together, the knowledge was just what they needed.

@Dirt

(Ooo, I have excitement. Also I'm pulling a blank on words rn, so pardon if this sounds absolutely stupid.)

Estaban was truly glad to have Lucky around. She seemed to have more knowledge of the place then he did. A grin played on his lips. They where so close, he could feel it.

@croccin-champagne

((You're good lmao))

"The stronghold, through whatever shit fuckin' divine intervention, is righ' next door." Lucky said, looking back at him as she stopped at the end of the hall. She pointed up, at a hatch in the ceiling, and grinned wickedly. "If ya boost me, I can pull ya up."

@Dirt

Estaban had been about to give a small triumphed cheer, as he hadn't expected them to have made it this far. But what Lucky has said almost made him laugh. "I doubt you can pull me up." He remarked.

@croccin-champagne

"Just because I'm wearing a dress, don' mean I can't at least try." Lucky said, rolling her eyes. "I'm stronger than I look. You got a better plan then, cap?"

@Dirt

Estaban rolled his eyes, and crouched down so she could use him as a stepping stool. "I'll figur' somethin' out." Though honestly he couldn't think of anything better.

@croccin-champagne

"I'm sure ya will." Lucky said sarcastically, nodding. It took her less than two minutes with his help to pull herself up and through the hatch, as though she'd had plenty of practice doing it. Once up, she cast a quick glance around, before crouching to reach down. "Le's get ya up here."

@Dirt

Estaban had hissed a "hurry up." while Lucky was trying to pull herself up. It wasn't the fact that he was worried they'd get caught, but more so the fact her shoes where bitting into his back.
He grumbled a bit as he straightened out and took her hand. His other hand gripping the edge of the hole and pulling himself up.

@croccin-champagne

Lucky hadn't been kidding about being stronger than she looked, hauling Estaban over the edge of the hatch opening quickly and without much struggle. Once she'd gotten the hatch closed again, she was back on her feet, helping him up into a standing position. "No' bad. Though I'm guessin' you've never done that with a woman in heeled boots before."

@Dirt

"Nd' I didn' think I ever would either." Estaban said, a hint of a laugh in his voice. "Come on. We gotta keep moven'. We're almost there." He looked around spotting a hall way, and waved Lucky to follow. This time making sure to listen carefully.

@croccin-champagne

Lucky followed after him, keeping an eye behind them to make sure they weren't followed. She stuck close to Estaban, maybe just a bit closer than normal. Not out of fear or anxiety, but more because somewhere, in the back of her mind, she liked feeling like she had a place. And that was exactly how she felt with him.
