@Dirt

(Yeah. You wanna start?)

((Sure!))

Lucky finished lacing up the bodice of the jade green dress Estaban had gotten a hold of, sighing. Reaching up, she quickly undid all the little braids in her hair, tugging a hand through her hair by way of brushing it. She was using a small handheld mirror to check her appearance, the same mirror she'd used to know she was covering her scar earlier. With a few last minute touch ups, she looked like one of the women she'd robbed plenty of times before. Slipping back up to the deck, where the others were waiting, she fastened the finishing touch around her neck. The reason she'd gotten arrested in the first place, a pretty gold necklace inlaid with a stone the color of the ocean.

@Dirt

As the time drew near Estaban felt more and more unsure about this whole idea. It was crazy, insane even!
He waited for her to finish below deck. He'd ordered that no one go down there untill she was done. He knew what the men on the ship where like, and if he had to throw them overboard to get the point across, so be it.
He was shocked when he saw her, "Yer beautiful." It slipped out, but did Estaban regret it? He wasn't so sure.

Lucky blinked in surprise at the compliment, and a slight pink tinge made itself a home on her cheeks. "Oh. Uh, thank you? I was going to ask how I looked, but I guess that's my answer." She reached up, rubbing the back of her neck. She'd lost her usual accent, replaced by something more formal.

@Dirt

"Right, er. Ya are quite pretty. Greens a good color on ya." Estaban looked away. So he could take his eyes off her. He hadn't been sure he would be able to.
"Yer still up fer this?" He'd been shocked at the loss of her accent. It was something he'd become used to.

"Of course." Lucky smiled, placing her hands on her hips in a confident pose. "Who do you take me for? Now, we've got a stronghold to rob." Green's a good color on you. She hadn't expected that, that was for sure. She'd been even less prepared for being called pretty.

@Dirt

Estaban returned her smile. "Indeed we do." He'd had the ship docked somewhere less obvious. Besides that, everything was going smoothly so far.
"Shell we then, ma'am?" He offered to help her off the ship, even if he knew she wouldn't need it.

Lucky's nose scrunched up at the use of 'ma'am' and she almost turned down his offer of help. One look down at the skirt of the dress, and she accepted. She could've gotten off the ship on her own, but it would've been a hassle, and they didn't have time.

@Dirt

Estaban happily helped her off the ship, still amazed at how beautiful she was. He knew she'd easily get her part done. Though he was still dreading it. "Don't be afraid t' stab em if ya need."

"I never am." Lucky joked, shooting him a wink as she straightened on the dock. Releasing his hand after maybe a second too long, she brushed at the fabric of the dress, brows furrowed in thought. "Let's hope I don't destroy the dress on accident, huh?"

@Dirt

"Unless ya plan on wearn' it again, destroy away." Estaban chuckled. Though he did notice if they had to run, a dress wasn't really practical. "Especially if ya need to run."

"Let's hope it doesn't come to that." Lucky said, tilting her head to the side as she looked up at him. The corners of her mouth lifted into a small smile, though there seemed to be a bit more behind it. "Stay safe?"

@Dirt

"You too." Estaban didn't know what else to say. What was there to say? Other then the fact he wanted to keep telling her to be safe. Don't risk anything, if something goes wrong get out. "After you." He said, gesturing to the way into town.

Lucky nodded, reaching up to brush her pendant with her fingers, drawing confidence from the motion. And then she was a different person, a flirty smile on her face as she strode along into the town. Sure, she was always confident, but this was different entirely. Her eyes scanned the people she passed, ignoring the occasional whispers as she passed, searching for the right target.

@Dirt

Estaban waited before following. Even then he made sure to avoid people. Ducking behind things and skirting buildings. When was the last time he'd decided to do something so stupid? He took a moment to think- not that long ago. After all he had been arrested about a week ago. He took a breath, 'about to be arrested again.' he thought.

((My memory's literally the shittiest thing ever, I'm so sorry. The plan is, she's supposed to flirt with some sort of guard or soldier in order to get access to the stronghold, right?))

@Dirt

(Lol I can't really remember either. But yes! That part yes. After that we can just wing it.)

((Gotcha lmao))

Ah ha. There we are. Putting on a slightly vapid smile as she spotted the perfect target, Lucky began her flirting, carefully shoving her concern for Estaban away. He could handle himself. She knew he could.

@Dirt

Estaban made a note to follow Lucky and make sure she got done first. He had to make sure she was okay. He gritted his teeth, dreading every step of this plan. If he'd had it his way, he'd have gone in guns blazing. He heard a gasp, 'busted.' he though coldly. Dare he put up a fight first? Dare he did indeed.
The scuffle began, a few soldiers taking him down quickly with a first to the gut.

The commotion seemed to catch the attention of the soldier Lucky was flirting with, but he quickly turned her away when she went to look, dreading the knowledge that that was probably Estaban. She didn't let it show, instead acting worried for the soldiers involved, playing her part perfectly. She had the soldier wrapped around her pinky in no time, with her giggling and occasional witty remark.

@Dirt

Estaban wisjed they'd stopped there once they'd gotten him to the ground, but they didn't. It lasted a few more seconds, perhaps even a full minute. Did they want to make sure he couldn't fight back? It sure was a bang up job if so. "Ugh." He mumbled, sprawling on his back for a few second before being dragged up and away. 'good luck, Lucky.' his eyes landed on her before he could no longer see her.

((One last time I swear. Do we want to skip now, to whenever it is she goes to break him out after stealing the keys?))

@Dirt

(Lol, if you want yes.)

((Great! Because everything I imagine happening next makes me want to punch something! Your start or mine?))

@Dirt

(Lol, ahhh you started last time so I can start this time.)

((A'ight))

@Dirt

The hours ticked by painfully slow. Estaban had slumped himself against a wall, deciding he'd need all his strength for the robbery. Though its not like he was weak, more like just in pain. Throbbing from his quick but painful beating inflicted by the soldiers.

Lucky had watched the guard's shifts change, picking out patterns and the best opportunity to sneak into the jail. Despite trying to focus on getting Estaban out, she caught herself rubbing violently at her mouth as she slipping through the halls, passing cell doors without so much as a glance. The key ring in her other hand felt heavy with the weight of what it had taken to get a hold of it, and she just wanted to get to the stronghold, for something that might actually burn her thoughts away.
