Nikki stopped running "bitch- I had to save up for gas money to get here! "

Jess snorts.
"Hun, I got up at midnight and walked here. I can't even afford an Uber, I'm paid so fucking little."

"I wish I was." she says shortly.

"Is that an offer to stay at your place? Because if so, isn't it a little early? After all, we still haven't fully confirmed I'm not a murderer yet." she teases.

She rolled her eyes and thought for a moment "I could drive you home… Or get you a ride but I doubt anyone will take you that far, "
"And maybe end up having to have you crash at my place because you run out of gas and don't have money? Yeah, it'd be easier to go to your place. And yeah, nobody here goes out that far." Jess snorts.

“ but if I take you all the way back to my house how are you supposed to get home I at least have a car.. "
"Then let's go to my place and have to pay for a tow truck we can't afford." Jess says simply.

"You're not understanding how am I supposed to take you home how are you supposed to get back to your house it's so far and you don't have a car and I would have to drive you back anyway! "
"I can walk!" Jess says cheerfully.

Jess shrugs.

"There's no point in waisting either one of our nonexistant money on a tow truck either, or on an Uber, or anything else."

"I stress myself out too." she says cheerfully.

"I act cheerful to avoid having mental breakdowns every five minutes." Jess laughs.
