when's your bday?)
(also awe Layla)
Sebastian's face practically lit up. He crossed the threshold, eyes flickering nervously around the room, and crouched down so he was at eye level with the tiny girl. "Hey, Layla. Devon. How are you?"

(Feb. 5th, so it's a couple of months away. I want to go to this artist camp thing in June. They've got dramatic arts, visual arts, filmmaking, and more. It's in NY, though, and it's over $2000…)
Layla giggled and stuck her arms out to Sebastian. "Bahstin! Uppie!"
Devon chuckled as she watched them. "I'm doing a lot better than earlier. Thanks again for helping."
(woah that sounds awesome! oh damn, that is expensive though. Good luck in convincing your parents, hope you can go!)
"No problem, and I'm glad." Sebastian smiled up at her, carefully taking hold of the little girl in front of him and lifting her up. He stood, holding her to his chest as if he was afraid she would break.
(They actually think it's a good idea. Lol. They're very supportive of my dreams and ambitions. It's kinda weird… Like, you'd let me go to NY by myself for five days? What?)
"Come on in. Would you like a glass of water or something? Tea, coffee, a Coke?" Devon offered, stepping aside to let him pass.
Layla bapped him on the nose and started giggling more, thoroughly enjoying this.
(lol I know the feeling. So you want to be an artist?)
"Awe…" he chuckled, heart melting a bit. "Uh, no, thank you though. I think I'll be fine."
(Well, I want to do the acting portion of it. I've been thinking actions would be fun since I was in seventh grade, so about five years now. I just never had the opportunity to do anything about it.)
"Bahstin, play! Dolly!" Layla bubbled, pointing to the messy living room that was covered in toys.
Devon glanced over and blushed. "Sorry. I tried to clean up a bit before you got here, but I obviously didn't get very far…"
(sounds really cool! would you want to act in more musical-y films or otherwise?
And oof I love the idea of acting, but I just freeze up on stage. I'm great when all alone in front of the bathroom mirror tho, lmao)
He laughed a little, shaking his head and bouncing Layla up and down. "Hey, don't worry about it, I don't mind at all. You shouldn't have to clean up for me, anyways."
(Lol. Well, that depends on what they think of my voice. I, personally, don't think I sound that great, but I'm not terrible.)
"Yeah, well…" Devon trailed off with a shrug, grimacing slightly. "My house can get very messy. Perks of working full-time and trying to raise a daughter; I literally have no time to clean…"
(I'm sure you sound amazing)
Sebastian raised both eyebrows, impressed. "Wow. That's… wow. You should get a medal. But still, your house isn't that messy.."
(Oh, trust me, I'm far from amazing. And that's not me being modest, either. I am truly not that great, but I do enjoy singing. Lol.)
Devon chuckled, blushing slightly. "Thanks. You should have seen it before I invited you over, though… There was food everywhere…"
"Food? Nana! Mama, nana!" Layla exclaimed with a grin. "Hungie!"
Devon sighed. "No, baby. You just ate, remember? You had a nana already."
"Nana! Nana!" Layla cried, reaching her arms toward the kitchen.
"No, Layla. Maybe Bahstin will play with your babies with you," Devon suggested, glancing at him with a small smile.
"Bahstin play wif baby?" Layla asked, turning to him with her bubbly grin.
(oof sure)
Sebastian would have hid his face, which was pink by now, if he hadn't been holding Layla in his arms. "God, I can't around her.." he groaned to Devon. "I just melt… agh she's so cute." He faced Layla, beaming again. "Mm, if you want. Play wif baby."
Devon chuckled again as she watched them. They were just so cute together. "Her baby is in the living room, over here," she said as she started toward the room.
Layla giggled happily and poked him in the cheek.
Sebastian blew Layla a kiss, following Devon, though for the moment he was slightly distracted by her daughter. Eventually, he shook himself out of it, settling down on the floor with the baby in his lap. "Sorry… I feel like I'm ignoring you for your daughter."
"Well, that was one of the reasons I invited you over, so I don't actually mind," Devon said with a shrug as she sat down on the couch, relaxing a bit. "Plus, now I can relax and not have to worry about her wandering off to the bathroom and getting into all of my makeup… Again…"
Layla grinned as they sat down, leaning out of his grasp to get her baby. "Baby!"
"Again?" Sebastian asked with the raise of an eyebrow, picking up what he hoped was the right doll and offering it to Layla. "This one?"
Layla giggled and grabbed the baby, holding onto it tightly.
"Yeah… I fell asleep once while she was out of her crib, and she made her way into the bathroom, opened all the drawers, found my makeup, and decided to play with it," Devon sighed. "I woke up to my daughter having bright red lips and teeth, and the lipstick was all over her face…"
Sebastian burst out laughing. "That must have been a sight! She's definitely an independent one, isn't she?" He flicked Layla's nose lightly.
Layla looked up at him, her eyebrows furrowed in confusion. That look on her toddler face just made her look even cuter than she was, too.
Devon sighed and looked at the ceiling. "It was definitely a surprise… I called the poison control to make sure she would be okay, and they assured me that she should be. She was, obviously… It's funny now, but I was so freaked out when it happened."
Sebastian stilled. "Oh. Sorry. I didn't know." He ruffled Layla's hair, falling silent.
"Oh, no. You're fine, don't worry. Sorry, I was just remembering how I felt that day. It really is funny, though," Devon said with a slight chuckle.
Layla's confused expression remained on her face as she looked up at him. Why wasn't he playing with her? That was their plan, right? She had asked him to play, after all.
Sebastian nodded. He glanced back at Layla and immediately slapped a hand over his eyes, his heart melting. "I can't take it anymore, your daughter is too adorable." Eventually, he pried his hand away to face her, grinning. "You wanna play?"
Devon laughed lightly. "Well, I'm sorry that my daughter is making you melt. I can't help you there. And I'm, like, 99.5% sure that she knows how adorable she is, too, and uses it to her advantage."
"Play! Bahstin, play!" Layla giggled, shoving the baby toward him.
(Guys with kids, though… Like, way too cute…)
"I wouldn't be surprised," he laughed, taking the baby in his hands and making it dance around Layla's head.
Devon smiled as she watched them. Layla laughed when Sebastian made her baby dance, wiggling happily.
(Guys with kids, though… Like, way too cute…)
Ikr omg
The doll continued to ‘dance’ eventually perching on top of Layla’s head and leaning down to cover her eyes. “Peekaboo!”
(Lol. Especially when they're normally, like, all dark and brooding or whatever.)
Layla giggled excitedly. She tried to grab the doll, but it was out of her reach.
(Yeah)
(Morning!)
The doll ‘jumped down’ from its spot and landed in her lap. “Hi Layla!” Sebastian said in a squeaky voice.
(Morning!
Jsyk, I'm going to be driving to ND for 8+ hours, so I probably won't be on for that time. Unless I get my phone back… Which isn't very likely…)
Layla's laughter bubbles out again as she scooped the doll into her arms. "Baby!"
