"Nothing really," Jackson sighed, "Parent's on my back and grades are good."
"Yikes." Eric said. "The hell do they even have to get on your back about?"
"They don't exactly like me being in choir," Jackson was choosing his words very carefully, "Or being friends with theater kids. Combine that with not being 'the greatest sport of all' and you have a recipe for disaster."
"Damn…" Eric mumbled. "That sucks."
Jackson nodded, "Yeah, it kind of does."
Eric chewed his lip slightly, fidgeting.
Jackson let out a sigh and looked at Eric, "Can we, uh, talk about something else now?"
Eric nodded quickly. "Yeah."
"So, um, what are we talking about now?" Jackson responded.
"I have no clue…" He said quietly.
"We could, uh, talk about ducks again?" Jackson suggested.
Eric laughed slightly. "Sure."
Jackson smiled, “Ducks, cute or mah?”
"Cute." Eric said, nodding seriously.
"Okay, are cats cuter?" Jackson asked pretty happy.
"Well, yeah." He said. "I mean, they're cats."
Jackson laughed, "Glad we agree on that."
Eric nodded. "Honestly, if it won't try to kill you, I love animals."
"Now the big question," Jackson had a sly smile on, "Cats or dogs?"
"…Do I have to choose?" Eric asked, sliding down in his seat.
"No," Jackson responded, "But it would be nice to know."
"I can't just pick one!" He said, chewing his lip.
"Okay! Okay," Jackson was laughing, "They're both adorable."
Eric nodded. "Damn right…"
Jackson grinned at him, "Any life-changing questions for me darling?
Eric looked up, biting his lip as he thought.
Jackson looked back at him and waited in silence.
"…I got nothing. Unless I'm allowed to shoot the same question back." He said, looking back at him.
"You most definitely allowed," Jackson had a light smirk on.
