"Cats or dogs?" He asked, smirking back.

"Dogs," Jackson said after some thought, "By a close margin."

"Fair." He said, shrugging.

Jackson nodded along, "Very fair."

Eric hummed softly. "So…"

"Life," Jackson let out a soft laugh.

Eric laughed slightly. "Yeah."

"Anything else we need to talk about?" Jackson asked Eric.

"Not that I can think of…?" He said uncertainly.

Jackson nodded, "That's probably a good thing."

"I guess." He said, smiling.

Jackson smiled back at Eric, "You guess?"

"…I don't know what to talk about." He whispered, biting his lip. "Sorry."

"That's fine," Jackson told him gently, "Class is about to start anyway."

"Okay." He said, smiling softly.

Jackson smiled back and watched as quite a few other students came in. He turned back to the front of the class, "Talk to you afterwards?"

Eric nodded. "Yeah."

Jackson gave him a smile back as the teacher started class.

Eric leaned his chin on his hand, leg bouncing.

Jackson stood up with Eric and swung his bag up onto his back, "Thank god that's over with."
