"You can make it. You can't expect the universe to do everything, even if it'll gladly give you a boost." The corner of her mouth flicked up when he removed his mask, glad to to see his face. Even if it wasn't his actual face, it was better than the mask. She raised an eyebrow as he continued to list adjectives, lifting their hands while keeping their fingers laced, to place them on either side of his face. "And I hope someday you'll feel comfortable enough around me to wear your own skin, instead of someone else's." She huffed a breath of air, her laugh, shaking her head. "By the way, where did bright come from?"

"Then I'll make my own way to find love." He smiled at her little emotion, noting that she liked to see his face. One day he was going to show her what he really looked like even if he had to tie himself up and let her remove the mask by force. Tali leaned into her touch, chuckling softly at her small laugh. "I'll let you see me some day. I mean, right now you're looking at my actual body, but my face… I've kept that hidden for a long time. If you keep me around maybe I'll let you see." He teased, joking to lighten the mood. He didn't like getting serious. It made him feel uncomfortable. "Ah, bright. Your eyes light up when you speak sometimes. And I may or may not have just thrown that in there just now." He replied sheepishly. "But I do think you're bright."
"Your actual body is nice. You look easier to pick up, though I'd be willing to bet I could pick you up in your normal skin too." She joked, following along with his attempts at lightening the mood. "My eyes light up when I speak? I didn't realize they did that. Is there something specific they light up when I talk about or say?" She asked, tilting her head curiously.

He glanced down at himself and shrugged. “I’m much skinnier I’ll tell you that.” He chuckled lightly. When she asked him about her eyes he leaned back and thought over it long and hard. “When you speak about your family and friends. And there is a certain spark that’s there when you speak with me I’ve noticed.”
"Now you can't give me shit about being light." She stated, pausing again to listen to him. "My family and friends? That makes a lot of sense. They're near to my heart, not without good reason. As for you…that makes sense too." You're earning yourself a place in my heart as well.

He chuckled and judged her playfully. “You know I won’t. I’m probably lighter than you.” He responded simply, resting his forehead on her shoulder and humming happily. “Friends and family…” he repeated, smiling brightly as he brought one of her hands to his lips in a gentle kiss. “I hope you and I will get along. I like being able to talk with you Toki. Very much so. You’re sweet and kind and everything wonderful and nice.” He praised, sitting back up straight and gazing at her.
"We're already getting along. Now we just have to keep that going." She said, glancing at the hand he had kissed. "I like being able to talk with you too. I like feeling like I can trust you." Without letting go of his hands, she adjusted the blanket better around her shoulders, unwilling to admit that the chill was starting to reach her.

He smiled happily, leaning over to kiss her cheek. He liked doing that. She reacted cutely. “I feel like I can trust you too. We’re both trustworthy. That’s good.” He chuckled lightly before gently pulling her closer to him. He could tell she was cold.
The light color returned to her cheeks when he kissed her cheek, as it usually did. And then he was pulling her closer, and she blinked, surprised and slightly confused as to whether it was because he just wanted to, or because of the cold. Either way, she was fine with it. She tucked herself against him, resting her cheek on his shoulder. "It is. That means we can talk to each other."

Tali smiled gently, resting his head on top of hers, his fingers playing with her’s. “I like talking with you.” He admitted. “I like everything about you. You’re fun. I want to stay a little longer. Maybe I won’t even go back to America.”
“I won’t try to convince you to go, for sure. But I’ll admit you staying at least a bit longer would be perfectly fine by me.” Osora said, almost snuggling up to him. “I don’t think I’ve ever quite gotten along with someone I just met this well, the -my friends being varying levels of exception.”
group
Tali chuckled lightly, shaking his head. “So in other words you want me to stay?” He asked with a cheeky grin, snuggling up into her shamelessly. He nodded gently and sighed. “I’ve never been this emotionally open with someone.”
“I do, but I wouldn’t try to make you. That’s something entirely up to you.” She said, her heart warming as he snuggled closer. The rest of her too, because of the warmth. “I’m glad you feel you can be that way.”
group
He chuckled softly, freeing one hand to run it through her hair, a soft smile upon is face. “I have nothing in America, I’ll tell you that. I don’t even have a permanent home. I sold it a few weeks ago so I could travel. Everything I own is in that suitcase. I could honestly just stay here, get me my own place and come and visit you everyday.” He smiled at the thought. “I like that… maybe I’ll do that.”
Tali pushed her head a little closer to him, kissing the top of it and letting out a soft laugh. “I’m glad too. But it’s because of you that I can, Toki.”
"You can't give me all the credit for that." Osora said, though her tone sounded happy, the kiss to the top of her head something soft and welcome, same as the hand in her hair. "I'll help you look for a place, if you really want to stay. Though, you shouldn't feel obligated to visit every day." She'd have her busy days, too. Sometimes things didn't wait for convenient times.
group
"Yes I can." He purred. "Mm if you could. I'm afraid my Japanese reading skills aren't as good as my speaking." He grinned down at her, curling a strand of her hair around his fingers and sighing happily. "I'd love it if you could help me. And of course I'm going to visit you almost everyday. I know you're going to be busy some days."
“Then help you will in fact find here.” She wrapped an arm around him, loosely but enough to show that it was absolutely something she wanted to do. “I’ve got a lot of busy days, I’ll warn you now. The world doesn’t wait for convenience or pretty boys. But I would love for you to visit when you can.”
group
He wrapped his own arms around her, his heart beating one hundred miles and hour. “I- Oh thank you.” He murmured gently. “I know the world doesn’t wait for anything. It’s quite rude if i- wait did you say pretty boys?” He asked with a widening grin. “You think I’m a pretty boy?”
“It is rude. Most definitely.” She agreed, relaxing in his arms. “And yes, I said pretty. I think you’re pretty. It’s a word that fits you better than it does me, for sure.” She let her eyes drift shut, breathing in his scent, which had fully replaced the smoke in her mind.
group
He looked away from her for a moment, collecting himself. “I’m not always pretty you know.” He murmured, but drew a fake smile upon his lips to mask his insecurity. “But I’m glad you think I’m pretty. I’ll take that over weird or gross or something strange like that.” He chuckled to himself, playing with a rather soft strand of her hair. His sleepy scent was more heavily cedar-like, the soft undertones more woody and fresh than before.
“You can’t be pretty all the time.” She said, her eyes flickering to watch him play with her hair out of the corner of them. “I don’t look pretty when I’m having a panic attack, or covered in blood.”
group
“I think you’re always pretty. I thought you were pretty even during your attack.” He murmured. “But I was more focused on trying to help you than anything else.” His Hans slowed when he noticed her glancing, wondering if she didn’t like it. “Is this alright?”
“Really? You thought I was pretty while hyperventilating and having flashbacks?” She raised an eyebrow at him, blinking when he asked if playing with her hair was alright. “Yeah, it’s fine. Just…not used to anyone touching my hair this much. It’s nice.”
group
He laughed. “You’re pretty all the time. I was too scared that you were going to throw yourself off the fire escape to really compliment you.” He murmured, his hand continuing when he got her consent. “Is it? Your hair is softer than most peoples.”
“I’m reckless, not suicidal.” She murmured, snuggling a bit closer. “There’s a difference. Is it? That would probably be Asami’s fault. All the hair products she insists I use. That’s what hair stylists are like though.”
group
“Oh I wasn’t implying you were suicidal. You were so panicked there was no way you were thinking straight.” He explained, his eyes remaining closed as he let the cool air chill him down to his bones. “It’s very soft. I like it. Hair stylist or jot, Asami know’s how to make your hair soft.”
"Hm. That makes sense, I guess. I'll have you know, whether or not I'm thinking straight doesn't negate the fact that I know how to be careful on my fire escape." She closed her eyes again, fingers tracing light patterns along his back. "She does. If I differ from the routine she's set out for me, even just using a bit less conditioner or something, she knows. Even while away, it's like she's got some sixth sense. She'll face time me and immediately be like 'your hair looks off, are you doing what I told you to'? I love my sister, but it's slightly weird."
group
He chuckled shaking his head. “Still. I had to make sure.” He purred, rolling his eyes. His smile grew as she began talking about her sister. “She sounds interesting enough.” He replied. “I can’t wait to meet her, Toki.”
"You won't get to meet her until she comes back for the holidays, but I'm sure she'll face time me while we're together. Hanging out or whatever." She added, almost as though being careful. "And then you'll have to talk to her. Fair warning."
group
“Ah sad.” He lamented, pressing a soft kiss to her head and smiling. “I can talk with her. It’s alright. I’m good with people.”
